  • Is there a genre of anime you refuse to watch?
    For me, not really. I don't really care for mecha but if there are other genres to it then I may watch anyway. Wait, I think I have to take that back....I don't like to watch anime with boyxboy or girlxgirl pairings only boyxgirl. Nothing wrong with those just my personal feelings that it doesn't appeal to me to watch those.

  • More questions....

    When you watch anime do you watch the Openings and Endings of the anime? Or you skip to the show?

    Depends on the song, really. x3 If I really like the song (or if its by UVERworld because I'm an UVERworld freak) then I'll listen to it. ^^

    What are your fave opening and ending songs?

    OMG, this list never ends. XD I'll edit this when I get home (about to leave school)

    How do you watch anime?

    I watch most on adult swim, but I also use Crunchyroll, YouTube and NarutoMagic. :)

    Is there a genre of anime you refuse to watch?

    Nope, I give every anime a try at least once. :)

  • There is nothing I will refuse to watch, but some that I dislike watching. Namely sports(Prince of Tennis), card games(Yu-Gi-Oh!), the majority of Sci-Fi anime(Gundam Wing), and anything homosexual(Loveless).

    There is one. That would be hentai. I can watch anything else.

    Wow you guys I love your choices of openings and endings of anime. Great songs right there! <3 I forgot about "Hero's Come Back"! I love that song so much!

    Is there a genre of anime you refuse to watch? Yes it is hentai, some mecha, and horror. The others I will watch or give it a try. ^^

  • Oh, I forgot about hentai and horror. I have never watched either, which is why they never came to mind.

    Never watched anything homosexual either, but Baka Tenshi had already mentioned it. XD

    I need to collect more anime songs. That YouTube link in my sig has a bunch of them, but definitely not enough. ^_^

    Oh yeah I won't watch anything homosexual either. Well...I am going to give Loveless a try but that is about it. Another than that I won't watch another one.

    Yay, I have a recommended anime you guys can check out.

    REC

    Synopsis
    Fumihiko Matsumaru is an average salaryman with no girlfriend. He invited his colleague Miss Tanaka to a movie but was stood up. Right at the time he was about to toss tickets into a trash can, a cute girl appeared and asked him not to waste those two tickets. After movie and dinner, he escorted her home and found they live in the same neighborhood, yet unfortunately her apartment caught on fire hours later. Having nowhere else to stay, rookie seiyuu Aka Onda moved to Matsumaru's place, and the two had started a "more than friend but not yet lovers" relationship under the same roof while keeping this secret from their employers. (Source: Anime News Network)

    It only has nine episodes. I thought it was so cute! I really enjoyed it.

  • I guess I'd have to say that I don't like watching hentai either. XD That one never came to mind because I've never watched it before. D: And my favorite themes can be found among my YouTube favorites list. :)

    And I can't believe I'm the only one here that watches shounen-ai and mild yaoi. o_O;

    I don't really mind watching shounen-ai, if it's done well and not just for the sake of being gay. Despite my personal beliefs on the subject, there have been quite a few good manga and anime from the genre. So I guess the only thing I really don't watch is hentai.

    Mecha is somewhat of a mixed bag for me. I often don't like self-important and boring series, but I don't want something so over the top as the super robo shows of the 70s. I think Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann found just the right mix between great action and great storytelling. There are shows that can be at either end of the spectrum and be good, but those are few and far between.

  • How did you start watching anime?
    Saturday mornings with Pokemon and Yugioh ^^;;

    Then Chatsy showed me where I could download the latest Pokemon ep from Japan <3
    I fell in love with anime in Japanese right away XD I thought Ash had such a hot voice in Japanese too. XD That was so long ago now. My first subbed anime was Love Hina. I downloaded that too by bit torrent and that is still how I get most of my anime.

    Edit: I don't think I answered right. So I am editing this post ^^;;

    How do you watch anime?
    I download it by bit torrent and then watch it on my computer.

  • Sad to admit, but the only Pokemon episodes I've watched in Japanese were the ones that didn't have English versions. I am referring to the banned episodes, Electric Soldier Porygon and another where a gun is pointed at Ash's head. Both were pretty good, though I freaked out on the former and never watched the scene that sent all those kids to hospital. ^_^

    I actually switched to subs because I couldn't find dubs, XD. But now I definitely prefer the subs.

    I don't know what time it is for you, but it's nearly 3 o'clock here. Serves me right for procrastinating on another lab report. XD But I still had to come to PC. =D

    EDIT: Welcome Mario! *gives you some ramen*

  • Well its almost 2am where I am. I really like the Pocket Monsters but the episodes were raw not subbed. Though it was not too hard to tell what was going on in Pokemon even without knowing what was being said.

    I have a VHS tape with the banned episodes that I got on Ebay before I knew about downloading episodes for free XD

  • I have an answer to one of the questions.

    Have you been to an anime convention?
    Oh, yes. Anime Boston 2006 and 2007. Plans are already underway for my trip to Anime Boston 2008!!
    *is jealous*

    I will go to Akon...when I can find someone to go with. I would get lost if I went myself ....I have no sense of direction XD

    How do you watch anime? I will watch it on DVDs, TV(Cartoon Network, The Anime Network), by torrent, and my web video streaming.

    I want to go to Akon someday too, but I really don't want to drive six hours to get there. And I have no sense of direction when it comes to a place I haven't visited.

    Yay, welcome to the club Mario!

    How did you start watching anime? Hmm...it was Saturday morning and I was changing channels, and I seen Pokemon. Watched a few episodes and was hooked. Then Digimon, Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, Gundam Wing, Tenchi...came. And the rest was history. Started watching in Feb 1999.
