Yes, anything Gundam because if you don't start from the very beginning it is very hard to follow.

Also, Eureka 7, mainly, I just didn't really like the storyline, but I like Renton's character. Zatchbell is another.

Well Euraka Seven, Bobobo-bobobobo, and Trinity Blood are among the ones I never bothered with at all.

Noir - Sucked it up all over the place. Poor story, poor animation, ya. Just bad.

Its hard for me to think an Anime is bad...but that one is.

Don't blame us if you get abducted by people in black suits and white labcoats within the next few days.

Anime I'm Apathetic Towards (severely abridged list)

    - Air [I've heard good things about it. It's just that I never bothered.]
    - D.Gray-man
    - Fruits Basket [The manga is better...which really doesn't say much.]
    - Full Moon wo Sagashite [See Fruits Basket.]
    - Love Hina [See Fruits Basket.]
    - Naruto [My interest in it has slipped severely to the point of practical nonexistence.]
    - Negima [The manga is DEFINITELY better.]
    - Noir
    - One Piece [See Naruto.]
    - The Prince of Tennis [and most other sports-related anime, for that matter]
    - Trinity Blood [See Naruto.]
    - Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle [and most other CLAMP works, for that matter]

And exactly why would that happen?
    XD, lets see...

Furi Kuri- Very well recieved series. Winner of Best Comedy and Best Short series at the American Anime Awards. 3rd place at the Fantasia film festival.

Ghost In The Shell- Argueably the greatest cyber-punk series of all time. Another very well recieved series that has some of the greatest cultural influences of any anime in exhistence. In the US for example, I have seen the manga used as a required college reading. Not only that, American MOVIES have been influenced by this series. Most noteably the director of the Matrix admitted that his movie was influenced by Ghost In The Shell, and it you can see many similarities between the two.
The first movie alone was winner of Best Screenplay at the Yokohama Film Festival, Best Feature Film and Best Director at the World Anime Celebration, and the International Film Fantasy Award.

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed- Part of the longest running mecha, and has more installments out than any other anime series ever created.

Serial Experiments Lain- The defacto psychological/horror series, essentially defining a new genre of anime. Winner of the Excellence Prize.

Shakugan no Shana- People are somewhat obsessed over the red headed tsundere loli. Of course, I actualy kind of agree with you on this one.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya- At the time it aired, it was the most popular television show in Japan for 18-34 year olds. Constanly makes top 10 anime lists (number 4 all time series in a recent poll in Japan). The followers have formed their own religion called Haruhiism. Won the Animation Kobe Award for TV Feature, Best TV Anime Series and a voice actor award at the Tokyo Anime Awards.

Yep, I think men in black suits will be coming after you shortly. Of course, I may get crucified for some of the series that I list, too.

    Mine:
    Reign: the Conqueror
    Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo
    Naruto
    Bleach
    Memories: Magnetic Rose
    Negima
    Futakoi
    Futakoi Alternative
    One Piece
    Chobits

    Hm.. let's see...

    Trinity Blood

Ghost in the Shell ( I honestly have no other reason to dislike it besides the fact that I had to waste sleep time to see it. )

(AH! DON'T SCREAM) Dragon Ball Z,XZ,XYZ, Saga whatever. I can never tell who's who.

    Eureka 7

    One Piece

    BoBoBoBoBo something.

Hack//EVERYTHING I never knew what was going on and had to wake up on Saturday at 5 in the morning to watch it. I was not a happy camper.

I really don't care. I like what I like. These shows were not for me.

    - Ghost in the Shell
    - Gundam
    - Eureka Seven
    - Lovely Complex
    - And the list goes on...

    - Black Cat - I tried to get into it, but after the first 8 episodes I didn't feel inspired to watch anymore.
    - Mobile Suit Gundam Wing - I never really liked the story, or the characters.
    - D N Angel - I read the manga first, and the anime strayed to far from the manga storyline, so I could never get into it.

    Shakugan no Shana
    The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

These two have something in common... their protagonists are subject to an over-sized and/or over-hyped fandom; that and I dislike their personalities.

I've noticed the same anime appearing in many of the above lists... profound, yup.

Noir - Sucked it up all over the place. Poor story, poor animation, ya. Just bad.

Its hard for me to think an Anime is bad...but that one is.
That is also the only anime that I have ever truly HATED! I bought the series I barely got past the first disk...I sold it to GameStop and bought a game with my trade credit. Fortunately they did all of the disks separate and got most of my money back! XP

Judging from that statement, I'm guessing that you also despise Neon Genesis Evangelion, Fate/stay night, Zero no Tsukaima, and other anime that feature a tsundere as a protagonist or otherwise as a leading character. Many of them also have "over-sized and/or over-hyped" fandoms, Eva in particular.

Yes, I've noticed that lots of people here detest the works of Masamune Shirow, judging by the frequency with which the Ghost in the Shell franchise crops up in these lists. There's obviously no love for Yoshiyuki Tomino and Hajime Yatate (Gundam, at least as far as the Universal Century timeline is concerned) or Tomoki Kyoda and Dai Sato (Eureka Seven) either.

    Ghost In Shell
That one where Bo is repeated 70 times
    Eureka 7
Blood+ I would be the anti christ if I said that, though I will be thought to be one when I say I never cared for Death Note.

Black Cat; I couldn't get into it after

    Spoiler:

Shakugan no Shana; I tried really hard to get into it, and I loved the concept and characters, but it just didn't stick. I can't really explain it.

Code Geass; I love the art, the story, the characters, I love everything about it, but I could never find it in me to watch past the first episode. The way the story is panned out isn't really appealing to me, I guess.

Chobits; Great story, nicely designed characters, but it didn't really ever catch my interest.

    Usually though, my lack of interest in things is just when they're presented to me. Like, if I have time restraints, and can't watch at least 6 episodes in one sitting, and have to go one episode by one episode, the spur of curiousity is gone by the next morning. xD;;

Shakugan no Shana II: I read the novel and the manga... I'm not bothering with the anime again. Has a good OP song though.

Skygirls: The story is not going anywhere (stopped around episode 16-ish).

Dragonaut: Rawr imma dragon! NO U. Has a nice OP song though.

Inuyasha: "Inuyasha! Kagome! Inuyasha! Kagome!" Manga isn't interesting either...

Moyashimon: Didn't like the manga. lol microorganisms.

Blood+: annoys the heck out me.
Trinity Blood: I'm scared of vampire related things.
    Bobobo-bobobo: STUPID!
Eureka 7: Not a fan of big giant robot thingies or whatever
    Ghost In The Shell
Blue Seed (Or something): I lost interest the moment the main character pissed himself.

*serves self up on the sacrificial altar again*

Dragonball Z: I watched a couple of weeks' worth of episodes (back when Kids' WB had Toonami), but for some reason, it just didn't keep my attention for very long. I just can't see what it is about this series that appeals to such a large fanbase. *shrug*

Inu Yasha: Pretty much the same thing here, only I still find myself watching it when there's nothing else on. For that reason, I'm basing this off the dub, whose voices are pretty annoying to me. I could try watching it subbed, but really, the storyline didn't catch my attention all that much either.

    Naruto: See above.

Chobits: I was so psyched to watch this anime after I'd read through the entire manga series. But then, after watching a large number of episodes, I felt as if there was something about it that didn't quite feel as awesome as the manga. Maybe it's the animation itself?
