I said it digital because is it a bit easier. But when someone said it in the analog away I still know what they are talking about. For me though, I say it in digital.
I prefer precise timing (such as it being 8:19 rather than just imprecise 8:30. Sharp, to sum it up.) And I prefer it digitally as well, I nearly never say a quarter till but always say 10:45.
Yeah. Digital all the way. If you say "quarter-to-eight", I'll get 8:00 in my mind. Then I have to process "quarter" meaning "15-min." (which could also be confused with the numerical coin value of 25 cents. Hasn't happened to me, though). Then you have to subtract 15-min. from 8:00 to get 7:45. And this is when you don't have a clock face to look at.
Yes, it seems like simple temporal processing, but I could've saved all of that extra processing power for something else, like thinking about how Reshiram could kick the crap out of Zekrom, and vice versa. :D Digital time reading is simple and straight to the point, IMO.
