I love myself a story time thread. Anything weird, strange, or unexplainable happen to you while playing Pokémon? I'll give an example with a story I love telling.
In my second year of high school I knew this one girl because she was part of a circle of friends I was in, and we happened to share 3 classes out of 4 in a semester. I always skipped my first period class so I'd show up in the morning to our second period Home Ec class. The class was divided into six groups and this girl and I decided to be together because we already knew each other and were in other classes. I ended up playing ORAS a lot in class and had ended up convincing her to buy Alpha Sapphire, and we'd play the games and talk to each other about it whenever we were done our work in class.
At one point she asks if I have Pokémon Bank because she wanted to bring her Pokémon over from Pearl and didn't want to have to buy a pass herself. I told her I could transfer whatever she wanted over to my Omega Ruby and trade them over to her, but I likely couldn't do it on school wifi and would have to bring her copy of Pearl back home for a night so I could use my own internet. She agreed and told me she wanted her entire first box transferred, so I came home and transferred her whole first box.
The next day, I'm not really able to get a chance to trade her Pokémon back to her until near the end of class, so I talk with her then and she's mad at me saying she only wanted her Luxray transferred. I'm confused but trade over her Luxray anyways, and we agree that I can keep the rest of the Pokémon I transferred over to use for Wonder Trading. She's still kinda mad at me, so I don't get much opportunity to talk to her for the rest of the class and decide to leave on my own for lunch which I typically did anyways. This also meant I didn't have an opportunity to return her copy of Pearl.
The specific details are a bit fuzzy from here but our 3rd period class was PE and since it meant putting away our belongings in the locker room, I'm not able to get the chance to return her game. I try to after the class, but she leaves quickly without saying a word to me and I'm not able. We still have our last class of the day together so I figure I can just talk to her and say I want to return something that's hers.
Our class starts, and she doesn't want to talk to me. I pull out her game from my bag and try to hand it to her, but she walks off without saying anything. I decided I'd just place it on her desk for when she returns to the classroom, but she returns, sits back down, and acts as if it's not even there. A mutual friend of ours asks why she's mad at me, and tries to return the game to her himself, but she won't take it from him either. Once class ends, I tried once again, and she walked out and went home without talking to me. I figure there's only a few weeks left in the semester, and I'm transferring schools afterwards, so if she approaches me and asks for it back, I'll gladly hand it back, otherwise she doesn't seem to want it anymore. She didn't speak to me for the rest of the semester, and I transferred schools wondering what I did wrong.
A couple years afterwards, I ended up running into the teacher for our 4th period class since we both frequented the same card store. The teacher tells me "my friend" was wondering why I left, and said she missed me, and I instantly knew that she was talking about this girl. I wonder what she's up to now, and if she even knows I still have her game...
