Kind of a mixed opinionated subject, but, when someone tells you this statement: "Technology is doing more harm than good today.", what would you think?

Now, what I would say, technology isn't really good or bad, it just depends on how we use it. But there's another question: Do you think we're using technology today rightly? Do you think we use technology in more harmful ways than good?

Would love to hear thoughts and ideas!

Hms, I feel like technology could easily be used for good or bad. Any technology could potentially be harmful and used for bad purposes, but the same technology could also be used to do good, in some way or another. I think that overall though, technology has made things better--it's made our lives safer, easier, , more convenient, and opened us up to new possibilities to make our lives better. It's given us vaccines, cures for diseases, and the tools to gather knowledge more easily and develop even more cures and vaccines much more efficiently than before. So I feel like we're much better off overall with technology than we'd be without it.

I would wholeheartedly disagree with them; and point out the many, many advances in medical science we've made with technology. I could point to many objects they see and use every day and show them that they are in fact technology applied in a good way.

With that being said; technology is not inherently good or evil. It's only as good or bad as the way you apply it. It's a tool, and you can use a tool for both good and evil purposes.

Environmentalists and luddites would argue that we're using technology for more harm than good because of how they destroy a lot of natural habitats and put many animals on the endangered species list. Even greener technology is harming the environment with those powered windmills killing a lot of bird species that try to fly through them.
