Nope, I'm not embarrassed at all about it. Heck, I use it to the advantage of poke-fandom. I make sure all my co-workers' kids are up to date on the latest pokemon games / anime / etc. There's nothing like helping to bring up a new generation of pokemon trainers.

Oh, and I keep a Chimchar card holder from the happy meal promotion a while back near the phone at work. It makes a good business card holder. :-)

It's people's opinion where or not they like pokemon..if someone laughs and says like "Ha you like pomeon that thing is so weird'' It's THEIR own opinion!

Glad to hear that. Pokemon has a long life ahead of it, so you are just prolonging the poke-crazy love. Lol, great idea for the Chimchar card holder, I have one of those BK promotional pokemon toys, it's a Darkrai one though.

Well, no not really. I don't blend in with the crowd, because I have a brother, I will have to put up football and all boy stuff so that's how I get into Pokemon, but I did start off getting Pokemon cards. Only 4 actually 3 of us in my class like it.

Me, my friend Charlie and my other friend Billy.
We collect the cards and we are mad on the cards. Always screaming the playground if we got a Lv X.

Like I've been saying lately, I don't care anymore what other people say about me. I used to want to be popular, but now, no way. So I don't care that I like Pokemon. Obviously, I don't go around announcing it, but if someone says they like it, I'm like 'Hey that's cool, so do I!'

Who cares what people think? Seriously.

Sadly, I still kinda get a little embarrassed if people find out I like Pokemon-especially if they say "Who likes Pokemon now?" or something of that type...but I'm usually the one who tells 'em, so I'm getting used to it. :D

not at all! When I switched schools this year I didn't have any friends til the one day this guy oticed I was playing pokemon on my cellphone, now I have lots of friends.
Pokemon makes you friends, period.

Well, not around my friends, but around certain people yes.
some people just can't grasp the fact that its opinion, and that they won't shut up after finding out that someone likes something they don't.
All my friends play pokemon, and i'm not embarrassed.
I only wish pokemon was new and "fresh", everyone liked pokemon back then.

That's the same way i feel.

Those were the days, I remember them back in '99 and such, everyone loved Pokemon, if you DIDN'T you would be made fun of. Now its just reverse.

"Oma god Thomas! Yous stills plays wiz Pokemans"

"Well you gotta problem with it!"

"...no"

Problem solved :)

It's on my MySpace and Facebook that I like it.
Why would I have to be ashamed?
Everyone's played it...
Besides, anyone who exploits you for liking Pokémon is stupid. At least playing Pokémon doesn't make you throw up, have hangovers or kills your brain cells :D

Amen to that. But, unfortunately, I would quickly become an outcast if I dared to say I like Pokemon. While I know that true friends wouldn't leave you no matter what, I already know I don't have any true friends except my family. So I don't say anything about it, because I'm a sad, afraid little girl that still cares about what others think.

Sad, huh?

But, answering the question, I wouldn't be embarrassed or ashamed, just scared of being outcast.

Around my friends, I have no problem with playing Pokemon and doodling them. As for people I don't know, I just don't mention the subject and keep it to myself.

I'm going to mention mine again.

*class starts collecting Pokemon cards*
"I'm going to buy some."
*buys cards*
Then a few years later.
"I'll give my cards to my brother."
"Lucy, can I have these cards?"
"Yes!"
Then a few days later.
"Hey I brought some Pokemon cards in anyone wanna play? <-- My friend."
"Me!"
"Me!"
Plays games until end of class year.
Then after the Summer holidays.
"I brought my Pokemon cards in again." <--- My friend.
"Cool! I'll sort MINE out and bring em in and we'll battle! Do you watch Battle Dimension..."

TA DAH! It's magic isn't it.

If you think about it, tons of people have experienced pokemon in their lives at some point, everyone has played atleast one of the games or watched a couple shows. They shouldn't say anything for that reason alone.

No, lol.. I'm proud of what I like. I always have my DS at school, usually playing Pearl or PMD.

The friends I have like Pokemon.
Some of them even have Pokemon keychains on their backpacks.
