    So, I'm thinking we can probably do this as a kind of Art Fight-esque thing tbh? Have people give a few examples of things they'd want drawn for them for artist to choose from and then RNG who draws for who. I don't think we really need to make it a competitive thing. Just do participation points for all involved imo.

    participation points for all involved would mean just doodles barely vs those who actually put effort feeling bad abt it so i still think it'd b good to do the art fight points system?

    We could possible consider doing this as just completing art for adding points to your team total. Maybe do like...

    Sketch/Lines - 5 pts
    Colours/Shading - 10 pts
    Full render - 15 points

    Or we could do something more competitive and do team points to the people who earn the most points within the Art Swap as use the long term event rubric. What do you think?

    I think the second option is probably the better way to do it since it makes things more consistent with fewer chances to inflate things.

    Edit: Yeah, definitely feeling option 2 more.

    Definitely more competitive since it's a relatively big event
    so they can either win via quantity or quality (or both)

    so typical secret santa w/ points -> total amt of points per team -> winner gets big team point? sounds good to me

    Do you like making art? Do you like getting art? What if I told you this was an event where you can do both of those things?

    The Art Swap is exactly what it sounds like in the title. Participants will create artwork for each other to earn points and eventually everyone will leave here with both some cool art and also points for their GT team.

    How this Works

    It's pretty simple actually. When you post to join, drop a small list of things you would like to receive art of. Then, throughout the Get-Together, you create art for other participants according to their lists. Whenever you complete a bit of art, you send it to both myself and Kitty, letting us know who it's for. Then, at the end of the Get-Together, everyone who has submitted at least one bit of art will receive any art made for them.

    For those of you who made art for people who didn't submit any, we'll leave it up to you if you still want to pass it on.

    Note: Please try to keep your requests fairly simple! People are going to be trying to do a fair amount of art here. It's okay to say "I would like art of Cradily and Appletun." It is not okay to say "I would like a collage of every grass, rock and dragon type in the game." By the same token, if you're caught using AI to generate your art, you will be immediately disqualified. We don't like art theft here.

    Points

    As you submit art, you will earn points for yourself depending on the level of completion of the piece you submit.

    Sketch or lineart - 5 pts
    Colours and/or shading - 10 pts
    Full render - 15 pts

    At the end of the GT, all participants who submitted at least one piece of art will earn participation points for their team. The three players who earned the highest score will also earn additional points on top of that.

    1st: 150 pts
    2nd: 100 pts
    3rd: 50 pts
    Participation: 10 pts

    Achievements

    By hitting this special objectives, you can earn bonus points for your team.

    Complete the most art for other people: 10 pts
    Be the first to complete a fully-rendered piece: 10 pts
    Submit only fully-rendered pieces (at least 3): 15 pts
    Receive the most art: 5 pts

    Also do we want pinch hitters since this is kind of like secret santa? If not add a disclaimer that there can be chances where there is no art at all to be acquired (art fight style)

    There can b cheese strats here like someone draws another persons request which is just a voltorb and wins the game

    And to keep requests simple enough tbh we dont need a long noodle situation Bfjdkd

    I think we can probably do without best meme and honourable mentions. Also think maybe not sketch master cause that will encourage pumping out a million sketches for points. I like the other three.
     
    also not sure on art swap as a title as its misleading; ur not exactly "swapping" art with someone lmao
