I believe that Florida should only consist of Orlando, Daytona, and everything south of that; all else should be given to Georgia. Why? Because everyone associates Florida with Mickey and people in bikinis petting wild flamingos. No. You will never see a wild flamingo in Florida. They're an endangered species >:< Florida is definitely not the happy place it looks in pamphlets. Sure, it's never under 60 here, but not everything's green and the beach isn't always 10 minutes away. Florida is dry and boring unless you go down south to the 'real' Florida. And you have to know a lot of Spanish if you go down there...

I agree that florida can be boring elsewhere, but many places those pamphlets are correct.

Ill add more on assumptions about me so this isnt spam in any way. Some have thought recently because Im tall (6'0) that Im extremely bulky for some strange reason online.
Not true. I dont know why people think tall guys are strong all of a sudden, but Im not saying im weak, Im not so jacked up everywhere.

Also, another one is the "I have no life" thing, people think because Im on PC so much I have no life.

Let me make this very clear. I'm currently in virginia, my mom is a travel nurse, and I have to go wherever she has to work. So, Im stuck in cold mountains. I have nothing else to do except stay inside really. Hope it snows I guess. Also, I do just leave my computer open and just leave PC up as well. And so when I do return to Daytona I wont be on as much... Okay just making that clear, I have a life and I do have fun at the beach all the time when Im in florida. Thank you.

I live in St Lucie County.. it's big but boring. Very boring.

I've only ever really enjoyed myself in Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, and Ocala ( My mom's friend has a ranch there ). Living in Florida, i've actually never really been around Florida too much. Everytime I vacation, it's always OUT of state.

Because I'm black (well, actually, half-black, but a lot of people would just assume I was fully black), a lot of people think I like rap, and especially that "gangsta" rap and whatnot, which is so far from the truth. I, in fact, really, really dislike that stuff. The stereotypes I get because of my race are so far fetched, because none of them actually apply to me. :x

I am black as well. Well I don't look black, I have light brown skin. I do listen to rap, but not all rap. Like that gangsta rap...I hate it. I listen to old school rap, soul, and r&b. But I also listen to pop, alternative, new wave, and stuff. And I like anime and manga. So yeah, totally different from the stereotypical black person. And the way they act...I don't act like that at all. I give everyone respect, I speak proper English, and I get the proper education. To be specific...I act white most of the time. I really don't act like some black people. I don't hang out a lot of blacks either. Mostly all my friends are white. Only a few are black.

I totally agree of what you and sims796. I get that all the time. And sometimes it is annoying. x.x

I still get all of those when I tell people I'm from Texas too. I even had a friend who made me speak to his cousin because she believed all Texans spoke with that usual southern drawl, that was so awkward. XD

That's never happened to me before, but I can imagine how awkward it must've been. XD It's so annoying how movies portray Texans as total hicks who can't even speak proper English... gah! I can think of a few people in real life who would fit under that category, but most of us aren't like that.

Although, I must say, I laughed really hard when my British friend tried to speak with a southern accent as a joke. XD That was the only time I actually enjoyed hearing one. It was so exaggerated, but funny to listen to... and sadly, she still managed to sound more refined than most people around here.
