I was walking to the gym when I notice a guy looking at me. He jumps over a ledge and starts following me. The guy looked like a stereotypical school bully so I start suspecting when he says something like "Hold up right there, sucker!" So I stop and look at him, expecting the fourth theft in my life.
Well it was rather pathetic.
First the guy tells me to give him everything I have. I look at him, see he doesn't have a knife or anything life-threatening, and quicly dispatch a lie.
"I don't have anything." (except for a watch, my wallet, my keys, my ID card and a bus pass)
"You sure? Money?"
"Nah, I'm not carrying money" (lie, I had 2.40€... not like he was going to become a millionaire but whatever).
"Your mobile?"
"I don't carry it when I'm going to the gym."
"Sure? You won't want me to look in your backpack."
And yeah, I finally found a way to defeat him. I hand him over my backpack. He looks at it for a while before saying "whatever" and turning back, so I started running.
For now, he stands second in my list of "Biggest theft failures", because he really looked threatening until he proved himself to be terribly naive for a thief. It's really sad that he's the fourth guy who tries to rob me, and yet I have only had to hand over 0.50€ in all that time.
