Avatars and Signatures

No, I could care less what other people think of me when they see my theme.

I do often (but not always) remember people that have the same theme for a very long time (or always have the same character) by that theme, kind of like having a face to put a name to. It really depends on the individual whether I actually picture them as that character or not, though. In most other cases I don't picture people at all. I've never been in the post-a-pic thread so I dunno what anyone looks like.

I won't judge a person because of their theme unless it's just so disjointed, messy, or cluttered up with junk that it gives an impression that the person is, too, especially if the actual content of their posts confirm this. I really don't see that too often at all, though. I might also judge if a theme gives off enough of a pretentious vibe, but only if I'm in a sour, resentful mood to begin with. Again, if the content of their posts don't back it up, it goes away.

Um, I could care less about what other people think about my theme. The only reason I go to Rate the Signature above you is because I want to have a neat signature, which Malyka helped me(I still thank you, Maly <3).

But if someone thinks I'm a 11-year old girl, then they have serious mental problems because I'm pretty sure my posts show otherwise XD.

You see a pink, floating fairy and an esper when you see me? o3o

And no, I make my Avatar...

Which I have to keep or I shall take full responsibility...

For something and my signature which I stole.

Huh. :/

Most of the time, I imagine a user here as their avatar/sig. It's weird, in a way. When anyone sees this Gallade avatar I have, they think of me as that Pokemon.

i admit to making gender calls and forming small opinions about people, but not based on the character in one's avatar/sig itself, more like.....the quality, i guess, or arrangement of the theme (and post content i think comes more into play than the visuals). i'm not really sure how to describe it, i s'pose it's a variety of things that mold my view of an "internet person," and it always depends on how well i know them.

I try to think of what the are like by there theme.

Unless it's actually a photo of a person who isn't a celeb/pokemon/anime character then it's easy to associate images with the person who has them in their avatar/sig. Hardly anyone does, though.

I do think that a person's theme reflects their personality, however.

I have been mistaken as a female because of my themes, so I'm careful not to decide another member's gender by their signatures and avatars. I do believe it reflects who they are, however, in terms of interests and such.

I tend to view people in my mind by their Avatar/Signature if I have no other mental image to assign them. Since it is hard for me to remember a name I don't put a face to, I've learned to assign an image to keep tabs on people online. Naturally if I've seen a picture of a person I remember that instead, but there are few friends I've gotten that close to...so it's whatever they choose to present as their avatar.

Of course I try not to assume gender by theme if it's not listed...I look for cues in the way they post.

I wouldn't change mine for that reason, no.

I think the only thing you can really tell by looking at a sig/avy is if they have good taste and if they are good at image editing (ect).

I do that too, but only if the person has an actual person as an avatar. Unless I know what they actually look like already, of course. Characters from anime or something of that sort have no influence on how I imagine someone to look like.

In my dreams, people usually appear as their avatars, or something like that. And when thinking about people, even ones I've seen before, I just imagine them as... their usernames? It's hard to say, really. But yes, I do it. And yeah I judge people on their themes, but not intentionally.

I don't really judge people by there theme and hopefully they don't do that for me :o

I kind of judge a person's characteristics based on their avatar and sig. If they seem nice and colorful, then I find it easier to connect with the person. However, it it is too plain or too over the top, I tend to dislike them a bit.

I sorta do this.
If you have a girl avatar I think your a girl (But like others have said, if their gender is listed, I don't think that) I also don't really care what people think of my graphics, because if I like them, then I won't change them.
