    Science is fun! If you know of a gif or video of a really cool looking chemical (or physical) reacion between substances, post it here and let's be fascinated together!

    I love the reaction between aluminium and bromine to create aluminium bromide. It's absolutely amazing.

    On a related note, Mentos causes coke to go nuts because it provides a rough surface for bubbles of CO2 to form quickly. It doesn't really happen if you eat Mentos and drink coke though, because the action of drinking the coke itself is violent enough to produce as many, if not more bubbles, thus the loud burping. xD
