I have something called Zoom Player that downloaded when I downloaded a codec called "CCCP" it also downloads Windows Media Player Classic. I don't use that.

Right. But the subs for the shows I watch don't normally come out until a week later. So I watch the RAW for the action and stuff then watch the Sub to understand the words.

It's a Cable TV service that also has Digital Phone and High Speed Internet. It is called RoadRunner...and they use RoadRunner from the Warner Bros. Company. It is VERY fast.
Actually you can take screen shots from your computer...at least on some computers you can. Look to see if you have a button on the keyboard that says "Print Screen" or "sys rq". Either one will allow you to take a picture of your desktop. Afterwards you copy and paste it in some sort of software that you can make pictures in, ie. MS Paint or GIMP or Photoshop, and you can crop it as you need/wish.

I seriously wish there was a better service here. But it'd probably be ridiculously expensive if there was.
That doesn't work with most media players. Trust me, I've tried it. After you Print screen, it just ends up as a black screen in the area where the media was being played.

Quite awhile... I can imagine it too. Just having to first, figure out what they've said and then translate it into something that makes sense grammatically as well. =oI know...I hear it all the time that it takes a while to do.
