6th Gen Back after decades away, need your help with Mew!

    Hi all,

    I've recently purchased a 3DS XL which came with Omega Ruby. Before this, the last Pokemon game I played was Yellow way back when I was a kid. I'm now 30. Having Googled around a bit it seems the world of Pokemon has changed somewhat and I was wondering if anyone could help me (or point me in the right direction) to obtain some of the old school Pokemon which aren't available in Omega Red? Mew was the very first event Pokemon I ever got hold of back in the day and I'd really like to get hold of him again for nostalgia purposes. I really don't want to cheat my way to him though if I can help it. Mewtwo is also high on my list of priorities. So, any suggestions from those of you who have a Mew in Omega Red on how I can go about accomplishing this task quickly and easily?

    Mew is currently impossible to get without any events or trading from people who do have it (you can trade online this ten). As far as I'm concerned, there aren't any Mew events running around right now.

    Some of the Kanto Pokemon can be obtained in Omega Ruby (the correct name of the game)/Alpha Sapphire. These Pokemon are Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam, Machop, Machoke, Machamp, Goldeen, Seaking, Magikarp, Gyarados, Tentacool, Tentacruel, Geodude, Graveler, Golem, Zubat, Golbat, Crobat, Magnemite, Magneton, Voltorb, Electrode, Pikachu, Raichu, Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Doduo, Dodrio, Grimer, Muk, Koffing, Weezing, Rhyhorn, Rhydon, Sandshrew, Sandslash, Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff, Staryu, Starmie, Vulpix, Ninetales, Psyduck, Golduck, Pinsir, Horsea, and Seadra. Some of those Pokemon have gained (pre-)evolved forms over the generations. At a certain point in OR/AS, you'll be able to find more Kanto Pokemon than just the ones in the Hoenn Dex. They're Growlithe, Krabby, Eevee, Rattata, Raticate, Seel, Dewgong, Paras, Onix, Mankey, Ponyta, and Clefairy
     
    Yeah, the only way to acquire Mew right now is through a cheat device. Hopefully a legitimate event will happen soon where clean players can obtain it. Mew is absolutely adorable and I've been wanting one for ages now.
     
    Ask around the trade thread for a event mew. Many traders have legitimate mews from the previous gen games that they transferred to gen 6 and can clone one for you.

    I'd like to add that a legit Mew can be obtained through PokéTransporter from older generation games! If you're talking about legitimate event Mew as in one with a blue pentagon hack, then there's none (unless I missed an event info).
