Don't get me started on Steam. I was trying to sell some stuff on the Community Market, but it was refused because of some stupid protective mechanism that they must have made mandatory at some point. When I turned it off, I was not allowed to sell anything, because it needs to actually be turned on. And when I turned it back on, they told me that i have to wait half a month before I could sell anything.

Stupid overprotective Steam...

I got it for $40 new which is kinda... Ungodly for a game that came out in 2012. But I've wanted the game since it came out so I didn't really care so much. I would've got Conquest or Birthright but mommy's gonna probably buy me the bundle for my birthday.

Yeah I feel you. Still though, I can't stomach paying that much money for a game that's 4 years old. Some of my favorite PS2 games don't cost that much. Hell, Armored Core: For Answer didn't cost that much and that game is rare(ish).

After certain events inconvenient as this crap may be, I think it's to be expected. s:

I hate how I have to wait several days for anything I try to market to be listed but... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh yeah and my new copy of FE: Awakening got here. It's early so this really makes my day.

Borderlands is so good... I was wondering to myself, where was I back in 2009? And the best part is that it manages to run somewhat smoothly with my craptop with the low settings. Hopefully my friend finds a way to get over missing out on BLs on sale...

And just to give myself a nice change of pace, I picked Lilith the Siren instead of the Soldier or the Berserker, who both fit my style of gameplay in a first person shooter more. Its nice for me to actually play a different class for once.

I hope they remake some of the old fire Emblem games. Of course with modern updates and whatnot.
I fully expect them to go back and remake Seisen no Keifu/Genealogy of the Holy War. In terms of popularity, it's basically the FFVI of Fire Emblem (whereas Awakening would be FFVII's equivalent, for many reasons). Plus, if they're skipping Gaiden, it's next in line.

On that note, you should consider playing Shin Monshou no Nazo if you haven't. It's a remake of FE3 that was very clearly the team introducing and trying out features that would later be seen in Awakening (most notably, the Casual setting and Character Creation). I haven't played too much of it, but what I played was pretty solid. Shame, too, because it and its fan translation are horribly overlooked.

Yeah, I remembered that day. Navigating through Steam was quite a pain, though, I didn't even get to enjoy seeing other people's pages. At the same time, I don't think that things should be protected in such a way, that even legitimate users can't do stuff anymore properly...

I mean, you can if you just use Steam Guard.

And if you don't, you aren't locked out of anything, things are just made more annoying. And while I think it is a bit much and other methods should be explored or restrictions made less harsh, I also have an account worth thousands of dollars that I'd rather not lose or see compromised. So it's a give and take.

Sunset Overdrive will be free next month as part of Games With Gold.

I'm trying to get a friend to play at least ONE or TWO Fire Emblem games and as a not-hardcore but an Awakening/Fates generation FE scrub, i dunno what to tell him about the game series' appeal. So help me here VG? D: He's kinda lost whenever he's like looking at his FB feed full of Fire Emblem, usually FE13 and Fates related stuff.

Meanwhile I'll be booting up some Borderlands 1 soon so I'd be ripping and tearing some wasteland psycho's COCs out ;)

I dunno what there is to say. Awakening's pretty generally appealing due to it's mostly strategy-less, hack-and-slash design but still has the bone and structure of an FE game, so it'd work as a pretty good gateway.

What I know of Birthright is that it's designed with strategy in mind but its lower difficulty lends itself to that design to some extent, so it's probably the better gateway. I mean, the games are kind of expensive so I can see the apprehension, but there isn't really a better time for him to jump in.

you are pretty silly ^_^
Also true.

Still having trouble getting into BD, though. Its job system is all good fun and its control over the various options is nice, but it's got some real design issues, and it doesn't really escape Traditional Turn-Based Genre fatigue.

I do applaud BS being faster, though. That's pretty convenient.

Both of you need a good whipping and toughening up from me and start playing some Brutal Doom. ;)

So i shoot a Cyborg Hell Knight in the head, and what happens? He starts BLOOD DANCING! LIKE A BEAST!

Once i clean enough space in my laptop, I'd probably me making a Brutal Doom: Project Brutality + Brutal Doom Hell on Earth Starter Pack super showcase exclusive for all of PC to watch. Though I'd not slap in some live commentary though since I can't play and make wise/funny commentary at the same time, especially on something so badass and intense.

Heck, I'd even host some weekly demon slaughtering sessions with some people here once I know how Zandronium (A Multiplayer Doom source port) works ;) Though i hope that people won't suffer from like horrid amounts of lag.
