    A tradition in Pokemon games since Pokemon Crystal, Battle Towers provide challenging battles with fixed rules and levels. (later "manifesting on different forms" such as Battle Subway, Maison, etc.)

    What do you think about these facilities? Do you think they are too difficult? too easy? perhaps "unfair" as some point out?
     
    They have proven to be quite difficult. I didn't have success until I started IV breeding and stuff, which means 3-4 generations of getting crushed, often times at a pivotal moment in the streak. ;(

    But idk, I like the reward system. For things like Battle Tower, where I can't recall there being BP, I wouldn't bother because there was no point (no money, exp, etc.).
     
    I did enjoy participating in them, but not that much. Highest Battle Tower streak I've ever gotten was, if I remember correctly, 47. It was in Pokémon Diamond, I think. Second would be somewhere around 30. which was in Ruby. Matches that took place here were pretty tough; I agree. To keep yourself winning, you had to have a good, strategic team. If not, then, well, it just might not work out for you; you'd be having a pretty hard time trying to keep yourself up. d:

    The Battle facilities give me slightly mixed feelings. It's a nice way to do some more competitive level battling and I'm a bit of a battle junkie, its nice that we can get BP out it to buy nice stuff like Life Orbs or Razor Fangs or TMs, and getting a long win streak is one of the very few things I feel any sort of accomplishment from. But on the other hand, I swear that the game cheats in the Battle Tower/Subway/Maison, and that's really annoying. I'm surprised I have a 70 win streak in the Maison (but glad I have it as well).
     
    Never had much of a mind for the Battle Tower but on Platinum the additional battle places at the frontier were intriguing.
     
    They were one of the best parts about 4th gen, and remained awesome until GF made the dumbest decision of all and decided to remove the co-op option for Battle Maison over Wifi. Seriously, eff them for making it infrared-only! Y'know, because I totally know people IRL with a 3DS and a Pokemon game...
     
    I like participating in them because they give you something to do after you beat the game. Sometimes they can be cheap, but others they require you to really think things through when you're confronted with tough foes.

    I think my highest streak in any of them is 112 wins in the Battle Subway on White 2. I just got the Super Rotation Battles trophy in the Battle Maison in X last night, though, so I just have Super Triples left for that.
     
    I don't know if its just me but they seem ridiculously hard? I am on the crystal cartridge. I'll take a level 31 in to fight a 40 and get knocked out in one turn every time! Am I doing something wrong?
