    If you had a special event Celebi in HG/SS, you could battle Giovanni in the past. Were you able to unlock this battle?
     
    Nah, unfortunately, I wasn't really able to unlock any Gen 4 events, which was really sad cause there was so many cool ones! This event seemed great as well, anything involving Celebi is pretty special, especially as you travel back in time during this event. I guess battling Giovanni is kinda nice? It's almost like that clarity at the end of the Team Rocket Johto saga, that he really is still out there somewhere.
     
    Celebi is one of the few Gen IV event Pokémon I managed to replace after a member here took off with all of my initial batch, so yes I get to play this event every time. Frustratingly as there are no options to save etc. I lost Celebi's held berry but I do enjoy it. I like time travel films, so a paradox that also wraps up unanswered questions is perfect for me.
    Funnily I never noticed the cave on the first few playthroughs before I got Celebi either.
