Just thought I would write a quick guide on the Voltorb Flip game. The following little mini guide shows how to complete level 1 almost 100% of the time with 0% luck needed. Honestly, if you apply the same principles to every other level, you shouldn't have to rely much on luck until level 5 or 6+.

If this mini guide is insufficient, I can add onto it later, showing a level 4 or 5 done with the same steps.

    Quick Tips:

    1. Use the memo pad to x out any spaces that you don't need to flip.
    2. Always flip all the rows with x\0 (x points over 0 voltorbs) as it's always free points and gets some spaces out of the way.
    3. After you flip all the x/0 rows, go into the memo pad and using the voltorb icon, place a mark on any row with the following setup: 3/2, 2/3, 1/4, 4/1, 0/5. You mark these rows because no matter what, they're going to be either a 1 or a voltorb and don't help you at all.

I didn't create the setup for this voltorb flip game below. I started up a level 1 game and copied the setup onto photoshop.

    The game board:

I hope this helps you get the general idea of how to play voltorb flip. Like I said, if needed, I could add in a higher level game at some other point when I have time.

Oh, I like this and it's something we're looking into. I'll just keep this open for more discussion such as if any more information is needed or if something may be incorrect. I'm still iffy and learning the Voltorb Flip myself - only played it for 15 minutes yesterday, so this is nice to have in the FAQ once it is seen officially complete and easy for everyone to follow, more so that it works.

I just looked at it, copied that puzzle down and I tell you to open both as they contain 3s in both of them, and that just took no time at all.

Don't forget that if there is a 0/5 row, cross all of them out and then open all the perpendicular rows with a 1 in it.

EDIT: Reached level 6, died on second shot

I made it to level 7 today, this guide pretty much sums up the methods that I used. I actually love this game now, way more addicting than the slots!

All I did was get my Abra and used my Rare Candy to evolve it, but actually I might save for some TMS with this game! Thanks for the guide! So glad you can't lose money :P

This game is so fun, though I seem to lose a lot hehe.
Thanks for the mini guide though it helped a lot.
I am feel like going to go play the game right now, I am going to see how far I get.

I got level 2 the one time I tried, and found it pretty annoying to complete. There are some squares you can take care of logically, but when you go for completion, it ends up a game of chance far too often. This will still be an incredible help, though. Maximizing your coins when you get up that high. One vote for sticky-ing this.

Yeah, that pretty much sums up my strategy. Though it's not always so straightforward at the "Logic" step. I end up relying on luck pretty darn often (which is annoying because I always seem to pick the wrong tile).

Oh, cool. Thanks. I always died on the Voltorb Flip one way or another so i'm glad someone made a guide.

We have a video on this already...why don't you add it to your first post to help

    Here it is

I don't think we exactly need a thread just for a calculator (btw people who use it - how accurate is it?), so merged it with the guide thread for Vortorb Flip as I bet people forgot about it/haven't seen it and it's related to it in helping people play the game.

wow, thanks for this guide! I had been kind of confused and only played it a few times and gave up.
I can't wait to go try it again now!!

    Thanks! :P

    omaigad !

I suk at this D: . ANY form of a guide is OK, so I'll probably use this ...
EDIT : It works ! Every little bit ! I knew the x/0 thinga, but the 5 total was unknown .
I think this should be put somewhere for reference . Not sticky, but somewhere to see it !
