being a webmaster is hard!

i am myself a webmaster and own a site(i wont be breaking any rules by this).sure it gets loads of hits,
but often people swear at you,say your sites rubbish.....of sourse this makes me sad..........so every day i improve it.its not great as i dont have many skills but i do my best and am there every day.its got lots of members now compared to how it was.any way webmasters and over peoples,can u do me a favor?(now every thinks i will ask them to join my site) do u have a logo like this

but it says pokemon of the week .please share if u do u talented people!

You "own" the space, maybe. But, the content? No. And a website is nothing without original content.

Your's. Sure, they made the website, but there's people who get paid to do that. Does that mean they own the website? No, there's usually an agreement; such as required credit, or a specific amount of money. He's asking for someone to do it for free, which probably means he'll give credit.

Correct as you are, but if you get other people to make everything for you, and even if you give credit, it won't really be your work. All it will be is a mixture of other people's work. Plus, not to mention you'll have other people's names plastered all over your website, which looks very unprofessional. A website is meant to be a work of art (graphically), a functional object, and more. If you take away the originality, what is it that makes it different from other websites that users will be tempted to join? Nothing, that's what. And they will always go for the popular ones instead of a random website that might have 30 users at most. Of course, there are exceptions, but I'm speaking in general.

No kidding... I absolutely, 100% agree that being a webmaster is hard. I left the forums for a while because I was so angry at the people who considered my website terrible. I use the FREE hosting package. I will not pay FOUR!!!!!? (4!!!!?) dollars a month for just 24/7 tech support and more disk space. Besides, I am trying to improve it constantly. I just tried out a NEW service today. I like the new service as much as my current (HANDZON). Just to make a point, I will NOT use weebly. I don't like the UI at all. If you could give POLITE suggestions on how to improve my site, fine do so. But PLEASE stop calling my website rubbish and stuff like that.


PS: I like WEBS I just began and already love it.

Personally, I think complaining and continuous help requesting is the most cowardly and childish way to manage a website. There THOUSANDS if not TENS OF THOUSANDS tutorials out there over the internet if you use Google!

I can understand if you are certainly young but if you are anywhere over 15 then this is ridiculous. Instead of typing with such terrible grammar, I hope you don't give to your English teacher, asking for for vague help, try using Google.

And remember your first site is never perfect. It takes years to master webmastering. And true webmastering is obtained true college and High School courses.

and AdvancedK47 it takes alot of hard work being a webmaster i know how hard ben works on his site because im a moderator of it and so what if his grammar is bad

i know how you feel ben my site gets visits like where people say your site sucks and i made a recent one i will have to search my folders for it if you ask me nicely okay ;)

I specialise in creating sites, the sites I create usually look good (or decent, at least) especially when I get the help of my friend Ruby, who is great with graphics. However, I'll agree that being a Webmaster is hard for the sole reason of activity, but that of course is my own fault for not having a solid idea on what my site will be used for and what it's audience is.
