fire fox with a cable modem imho.

    FireFox foreva homies. :D

Though IE does seem to load vB pages faster for me...

Uhg... well it aint IE that?s for sure. The funny thing is everyone uses it so I have no choice but to build websites around it >_<?. For my time I choose Firefox. No browser is perfect but firefox comes close enough for right now.

The first thing I that attracted me to it was its standards compliance with W3 which makes it so much easier to design sites. Then there are other features like skin able interfaces, tabbed browsing, and popup blocking, but that can be found on a lot of IE shells. So I don?t know, it just seems like firefox is kinda keeping pace with technology while ie lays stagnate. The only problem I have with it is how much memory it can use if your doing allot of work with it.. oh and how long it takes to load the advanced editor here in the community.

    Opera is ugly

Netscape.. hmm, dunno what to say bout Netscape the only thing to come to my mind is too much! Netscape has allot of full add-ons that I really don?t care for. It also sucks that pages that aren?t designed with Netscape in mind look messed-up too.

    Opera?have you tired to load PC with it? Takes for freakin? EVER. Ugh. >_>;

Anyways, I use an IE shell MYIE2 simply cause I need the WYSIWYG support to work with MSWord, but I still do feel the occasional IE exploit and lack of standards support. Oh well.

I've heard that myIE2 is pretty good, but I've never personally tried it out. And I've heard mixed opinions about Opera... I have it downloaded, but I've never taken the time to download it. =/

I basically have to use FireFox, because my IE is so hoazed due to stupid toolbars and stuff that I don't even bother to try and get rid of... >_> It's so obsurd... but at least I don't get the continual pop-ups that my parents get.

I think that IE6 is the best, even though that most people dont think so.

Firefox is nice, and if I didn?t spend almost all my web time on vBullitens I?d probably use it. But nyah, mainstream support and whatnot with Word.

I go to like 2 vBs, so the slow loading isn't all that bad for me. I just hope that version 1.0 loads a bit faster.

amphros23, have you tried any other browsers? o_O

It?s not the loading, it?s the fact it retains the font from MSWord so I don?t have to change it every time; I type my posts in Word and then cut/paste em.

I was referring to this part of your post.

And so that's why you have the [*font=arial] around each paragraph! I was always curious why you did that.

maybe it's bout time for me to get up off my high horse and head back over to IE... Lol I was about to say somthing like "there's no beating it! I have no other choice" but then i remember the conversation we were having about big businesses in the O/S thread. haha

Here's all the browsers I've tried:
IE: Do I hvae to say more?
Avant Browser: IE clone that dose what ever Mozilla has and IE dosen't. Crashes too much.
Opera: There's a freakin' banner ad on the browser! What is up with that?
    Konqueror: Mozilla Clone.
    Galeon: Mozilla clone except ugly.
Netscape: Same as Mozilla. Well actually, Mozilla is Netscape.
    Mozilla: Good.
Mozilla Firefox: Best browser ever. Well, it's the same as Mozilla except it's stand-alone and looks nicer. It even has cool add-ons.
Yeah, I have reviewed a lot of them. Some you may have never heard of some too. So I say Firefox is best but the problem is that IE people code websites wrong and we Firefox users have to suffer with bad coding.

    Don't I know it... >_>

Ive used AOL and the Earthlink browser but that is it.
Try firefox, and see what you have to say after that. =/

Ok, I've used firefox, but I deleted it, I think I am running the old version of it. Anyone have the link to donwload the newest version of firefox?

    Although Mozilla does look a bit prettier, I still have to go with IE. When I use mozilla to go to sites, a huge majority of them looked messed up (including all vB forums). The text will not be placed where it is supposed to be, and all of the avatars are pushed off to the side, making it looked messed up. Also, it seems to mess up the colour font on vB forums too. Sometimes, people's posts and their location will be coloured a certain colour. o_O;

EDIT: Here it is DT: https://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

The reason being is that Mozilla reads coding the way it's supposed to be read, unlike IE. IE reads code wrongly, and that's what most developers use to test out their product, so if it looks right in IE, they say "Oh, it'll look fine everywhere."

And the font coloring is normally because someone has messed up coding in their signatures.

What people need to understand that the ratified standards mean absoluely crap all.
What makes a product is compliance with the leading product. Sure, Explorer doesn't follow the ratified standards, however, it's really leniant when it comes to accepting poorly scripted data *cough*css*cough*, and EVERYONE uses it.
So designers builds sites for it.
Firefox still feels bloated, refuses to follow accepted standards and adheres strictly to ratified ones. Which means alot of things that work fine under explorer, don't work in Firefox.
When will they learn? Don't make a browser standards compliant, make it explorer compliant.
And maybe people who give a crap how their web looks will use it.
Until then, I quite happy use Internet Exploder.
