Speaking of styles when they made a new one it switched from the style I was using.

Problem is I'm so infrequent here and there's so many styles to choose from I'm not sure which one it was... so now I'm back to the arcanine style. I like this one, it's just a shame that it has a problem with liked posts. I can see the notification fine, but it doesn't actually show me who liked which post. Bit of a pain, but it's so pretty I can put up with it.

When you're new to running a forum, it's probably a very good idea to keep things small and manageable.

And, I think enjoying maintaining the forum that you're running is important too. On my days as an admin somewhere back then, I was forced to be out of PC Server by one of the staffs there when I was in the middle of battling there just to taking care of my first forum site, even though I was trying to find some way to maintain it fully while having fun at the same time. Too much pressure is not helping for sure.

Something tells me that New Years' surprise is gonna be nice, right Twiggy?

I've learned the hard way that a real Pokémon forum's gotta have vBulletin, and there's no choice but to buy their outrageously pricey licenses. Sucks to suck I guess.

I was on a really small forum that was invite only between a bunch of members on another forum ages ago, but I lost the address. Was a really nice place to be, and I wish that I could find it again. Wait there's a new years surprise for PC?

No, not for PC, for us. Twiggy's got something up his sleeve and he won't tell me 'til the first. I saw a gleam in his eyes when he said it, but I'm not gonna say what I think it is. Nonetheless, I'm really excited.

Around here a few folks know me very well for running a thousand incarnations of some old forum that dies after a month of living, and the last time it was successful was when it was running vBulletin. We're going in together to buy a license. :D

I don't even know whether it'll work in the end. Then again, TwigZone, my personal site, has never been down for the most part. Then again, it's just handling some light PHP on my personal site, and is just a page server for Alex's part.

vB4 and vB5 are whole different beasts, though. I'm dumbfounded as to how they have a vB3 license considering how long they've been around.

I'm sorry to tell you Elendil, but us as in Twiggy and I. We're the admins of the forum. :(

One that was vBulletin 4.1, too. It's gone at the moment (my host went bankrupt or something on me), and I'm not going to gather another 5 bucks to go buy a month's VPS at some other host off of WebHostingTalk. Too lazy, plus I just spent a bunch of my mothers money (over $200) on supporterships and a 1.5 TB MyBook. :/

I guess that's why I don't visit your forum lately, I can't access it except if I'm quite lucky :[

Lucky? SSH doesn't even work for me, meaning it's gone. They upped and left I guess. Maybe they undersold too much with those $11 a month VPS plans with tons of RAM and HDD space?

Meanwhile, what I have seems to be overkill for what we're both using right now. xD

What do you mean, Twigz? What's overkill?

If anything the VPSes I had were overkill. 300 GB of space, 8 GB of RAM (how would we use that?), and 50 TB of bandwidth. I have not a damn clue how they sold that to me for $12.99.

WAZZUP, PC GOERS!!!

Vacation finally ended. Gotta get back to work now. Even more work at home too. Gots meself an iPod 5G for christmas, but since my computer got a new hard drive, I'm thinking I gotta get my CDs into my library some time. And I've got a ton of CDs

Speaking of CDs, the music library that I'm re-syncing to my phone is at a sizeable 5.53 GB. That might not seem like much, until you realize that my phone has 8.5 GB of space before syncing.
