You mean the 900. :3
Indeed I do.. whoops >_>

I saw someone at my school last year that had a Windows Phone, but it wasn't from Nokia.. couldn't remember which one it was though, but they were the only person I saw around the entire school that had a Windows Phone. A majority of the school's students had Android phones, with another good chunk having iPhones.

The only thing that could possibly draw me into getting a Windows phone would be the camera... that 41 megapixel beast on the Lumia 1020 looks like it would savage any other mobile phone in a photography-off.

I have a feeling my next phone will carry the Microsoft brand instead of Nokia, seeing as they got bought. Well, the Devices and Services division of Nokia, at least.

Add consumer-level compacts and low-end bridge cameras into the "smoked" mix.

I have yet to see a photograph taken from a Lumia 1020, but all I can say when it comes to cameras is that quality ≠ quantity.. :3

Pretend it's a 5 MP camera with a 2/3" sensor.

Most phones employ a 8-13 MP 1/3-3.2" sensor.

Many lower-end compact cameras employ a 12-16 MP1/2.3" sensor.

Do the math. :) Oversampling works wonders. You have many smartphone-sized pixels (which is pretty good for smartphones) making up one pixel in a 5 MP camera.

Actually, the price of entry for Windows Phones is extremely low when you consider that the Nokia Lumia 520 is basically a $100 phone that punches well above its weight.

It gets ridiculous when it's a $40 sans-contract phone. Would you buy a Nintendo 3DS game or an actual smartphone?
A smart phone to be honest. And here its like 130. Not expensive mind you, but for the economy its still a blow to the wallet.

I just want to save up for a Nokia Lumia 1320. Might as well as join in the phablet craze, but... the camera...

...

Actually, good news for everyone: I think I'll be able to get a new phone after Chinese New Year. As for what... I'm actually tempted to go back to Android-land after seeing what people think of the Galaxy S 4 mini. It's no big S 4, but it works pretty well.

But am I ready to give up Windows Phone? That's the part that I think I'm not ready for yet. I might get yet another Nokia Phone, and the 720 does sound like a nice enough compromise for me.

It seems like every day we're slowly seeing people being converted to Windows Phone users.

/me hugs her iPhone.

I'm not even sure where my priorities and loyalty lies at this point.

On one hand, I want to go back to Android.

On the other hand, I want to keep Windows Phone.

If only they made phones that dual-boot from the onset.

Go for android, you can't go wrong. Personally waiting for MWC and CES to happen before buying a phone. Most of those cheap companies reveal a lot of entry level but surprisingly good phones around that time, and those are probably what I'm gonna get. Personally waiting for an international version of this:

Quad Core, 2 gigs of ram, 5 inch screen, 8MP camera, and it should round out to no more then 250 euros, going by the other prices of Huawei phones here. I was thinking of going for a phone around the 10 euro mark, but a job may be in my future, so I'm gonna save up for something pricier.

A dual-booting mobile phone would sound pretty awesome if you ask me.. but I don't think we're going to see those anytime soon :P

If I ever decide to change from a 520, it's probably going to be an Android phone I get next. I went with Windows Phone just to try it out, and so far I like it, but I just don't see myself as a fan of it just yet.

"Chipset: Mediatek MT6582"

Mediatek SoCs are... uh, well...

Not all quad-core CPUs are made equal, whether it be desktop or mobile. Something tells me I'd rather stick with my 900 than get that phone.

I've seen dual-SIM phones before, but if there was dual-booting phones that would be pretty SWEET.

also guys don't ya think we should move this over to the tech DCC? xD

Perhaps, but a little bit of spill-over from time to time actually should help perk things up. More topics for everyone!

Rule number 1: Do not talk about the weather.

Maybe that should be the unofficial rule #1 for everything!

Either way, a MediaTek system-on-a-chipset makes me wary. I'd rather stick to something more... well-known.
