Well according to the Allies the first two stanzas were too nationalist and thus got cut out after WW2, so today we're only using our third stanza

For years, I thought it was actually "in the visible." xD Was corrected by my teacher, though.

Wait why? I mean not to get into a huge debate in the DCC, but I'm curious why you say that it won't be there. I think it should probably just stay in there to keep Conservatives from getting all ragey and stuff and all "we're a Christian nation blah blah blah".

It's because not everyone is Christian and I guess it goes against Freedom of Religion if something says 'Under God' if our whole nation doesn't support that. Really, the next huge Liberal will probably change it. But with Obama and the hype he gets. I definitely see a Republican winning this time. So maybe not
 
All that religious doctrine was inserted by a virtually completely Christian congress and nation during the Red Scare – basically a bunch of insecular propaganda that was injected at a moment that was oppurtune to do so with little opposition. Kind of like the Federal Reserve scandal being the cause of the Great Depression, under the guise that switching to a currency that infinitely indebts the government would "help the economy". How ironic, no?

The only reason it's even been being brought up in question is because the rest of the world doesn't live in 1863 like our homegrown conservatives like to think we do.

How can you dislike jellyfish? They're ancient, live many, many years and have no brain. That's good news for many people I know.
