Honestly though, this is probably the most poorly conceived poll I've ever happened upon. How exactly did you manage to neglect so many popular games? Sonic? Smash Bros? Zelda? Metroid? Heard of them?

Are you trolling or did just not think about this at all? And if you are trolling, well done - you got me.

Medal of Honor, as long as we can agree to pretend that European/Pacific Assault, Airborne and any handheld versions never existed.

Judging by your threads in Other Chat (most of them somewhat ambiguous popular culture references, and one a rant), and your response here, I'd say you are the only troll.
Still, I'm not out to hijack this thread so if you want to type me a retort, do it via PM and don't expect me to reply to it.

I voted Final Fantasy.

I don't really consider Mario a series as much as I do a character.

Resident Evil would have gotten my vote, but 4 & 5 have tainted the series. Don't get me wrong, they're better than most games game play wise, but the story is ridiculous in both and it's sad to see what the series has become. At first it was ordinary police officers fighting people infected with a virus; now, it's a juiced up Chris Redfield in Africa fighting all kinds of bizarre monsters. At least the series was fathomable at first. >-<
 
Out of the ones listed, my favorite is Final Fantasy, but I chose "other." In my humble opinion, the Monkey Island series trumps everything else forever period.
 
Pokemon. It's a game for everyone, it has the intention of entertaining every bodies needs! I mean I saw a little 4 year old playing ruby a while back (Although he wasn't really "Playing it" just kind of pressing buttons") but still, its genius in some ways, it satisfies all plain and simple.
 
no zelda?
i would have to go with Mario seeing its the first ive played and still enjoy to this date. Final fantasy gets a special mention too, probs my favourite :)

Was between Halo, GTA and Pokemon for me (seeing as theres no Zelda..).
I voted Halo as it had no votes and was looking a bit lonely.
 
I vote for Final Fantasy, it really has to be the best.
The gameplay is just awesome, and so well planned out, the stories are really the best out of all RPG games i've played, catchy story and are very addictive games, you could at them for hours and hours, days even, much better than the likes of The Simpsons games, you will definitely get bored of them when completing the game, and same with GTA, you will stop playing after completing, Mario can be entertaining at times, but Final Fantasy just rules them all, another great RPG type games are Breath Of Fire, well really Breath of Fire 3 and 4, those adventures are long and very good, it would make you want to keep playing at it, but Final Fantasy would have that too, the best FF games would have to be the FFVII games, they continued from eachother, all had a great story and the characters were just great, longest story of all since it had multiple game to it.
Well, yeah, Final Fantasy is what I would think.
 
Well, my vote would have to go to Dragon Quest (or "Other," in this poll). The main games are perfectly balanced (usually until the end), they offer so much gameplay, the graphics are usually smooth and are very well presented, the music is enticing, and the games in general are just a reminder of what games were meant to be: simple and fun.
 
Why isn't Zelda on that list? It at least deserved somewhere. :/

I picked Mario. The other games are ok, but I still wish Zelda was up there. That or Metal Gear.
 
It was between Pokemon and Jak and Daxter for me. They are both great games, but if i could only play one game for the rest of my life, and it had to be either of those, Pokemon.
 
Where's Suikoden? Xenosaga? Metal Gear? :X

I am a huge fan of the Metroid series, Metroid Prime is still my favorite game of all time and while we haven't had anything really new since then it's still a very good series. I hope the new action game is incredible like I imagine it to be. Having said all that I still can't ignore the LoZ series so I would have to call it a tie between the Metroid series and the Legend of Zelda series.

Mario, Halo, and Pokemon are awesome too though.
 
I chose 'other' because Legend of Zelda and Super Smash Brothers weren't on the poll.
 
I have to go with Resident Evil, sure it isn't the best choice but it has it's funny moments :3

For me its my two favorite series in the whole entire world which are Pokemon and the Mario series. But I really think that this poll should have multiple choices that you can select
