Biggest Disappointment this Generation?

Well, the year of 2013 of video games will soon come to a close, and while there were a lot of hypes, and excitements, there were bound to be a lot of disappointments as well. So, what were your biggest disappointments in this Generation, and why? Could be anything, and feel free to list em' all.

The campaign of Battlefield 4. It was really, REALLY short and that's a big shame since BF3 had a decent campaign with a decent length, and now they seem to go into the CoD way, more MP focused and abandoning SP.

Xbox One, given the numerous amounts of complaints. Originally planned on getting one, only to witness the negativity and criticism of those who owned it.

C'mon dude... Don't let other people dictate how you feel about a game, especially if you haven't even played it.

You don't have to try it, but don't knock because other people don't like it.

_______

Anyway, the biggest disappointment was buying the poor-man's PS3. The Super Slim with the 12GB Flash Drive. Now I have to manually upgrade the system to really enjoy it.

Merry Christmas, Tim. >~>

Pokemon X Y - Honedge, Doublade and Aegislash: They are swords... SWORDS! Where's the imagination?

Nothing to do with the games, actually - it's the faulty system and its restrictions that caused a disappointment for that console itself during the launch. Being realistic on this, the PS4 acquired more sales as a result (well, during the dawn of the competition, that is).

By game I meant the system, lol, my bad. Anyway, I just get PO'd when people blindly follow other's opinions and don't try things because someone said it was bad.

I'm happy you're a smart enough guy to not be a sheep.

If you've done your research about the system. Fantastic.

And to be fair, as big a XBOXFanBoy as I am? I know when something's crap and I will not waste a second saying you're making a good choice by ignoring the XBOX One. Lol.

GTA 5. A great open world game, second only to Skyrim in terms of the world itself in my opinion. But the short story and restrictive multiplayer make me not enjoy the game as a whole. Which sucks because it was easily my most anticipated game ever.

The fact that GTA V was so overly hyped, and made so much money was disappointing to me. I enjoy GTA games, but honestly, this was a kick in the teeth to the industry. It showed that if you throw enough money at something, you can create a hype filled game that is great for a while, but ultimately falls flat in meaningful (yet important) areas such as storyline and emotion. I'm annoyed that they failed to even match previous storylines such as CJ's from San Andreas, nevermind improve on them given the $$$'s they threw at it. In the same vein, I'm pretty annoyed about SR4's world just being a repeat of SR3.

Big disappointment was that the next Zelda title announced on the Wii U is a dumb spin-off! But that's pretty much besides the point. Other than that, I'm very happy with 2013 in gaming.

Oh and Arkham Origin's map being a slightly expanded version of Arkham City instead of a fully fleshed out original Gotham was another huge disappointment. I would have gladly waited another year or two for them to create a fully realized Gotham City. The map was a total cop-out.
