5th Gen Black versions better than the White ones?

    I've been looking at getting pre-owned BW/BW2 copies for a while now and finally did. I ended up getting Black + Black2, but for some reason these were several euros more expensive than their white counterparts. Any idea as to why?

    Also did I make a mistake lol? Should I have gotten White 2 instead (despite getting the same legendary then) because of exclusives etc? O:
     
    I'm assuming the pricing is just because the White versions might have been in better condition(?)
    Black and White are the games with the most differences in my opinion, and I personally prefer White over Black version, but I can't really say which one's better.
     
    There shouldn't be a price difference, they're identical other than a few locations and Pokemon.

    Maybe it's just the seller or condition of the games.
     
    The 5th Gen games have loads of differences between versions. In the case of B2/W2, some locations change layout and appearance completely, like Route 4, Reversal Mountain and Victory Road.

    I think part of the reason behind this theory on why the Black versions were more popular might be because Black 2 has Challenge Mode, which everyone loved while White 2 was instead stuck with the horrible Easy Mode.

    What's Challenge mode and Easy mode?

    Also, there were multiple copies there but all Black versions were 35 euro while the white were 30, and the B2 versions were all 45 while the W2 were 38. like wut

    Easy & Hard modes are special modes that can be activated once you beat Pokemon BW2. They lower/raise the opponent's Pokemon and AI level. Beating White 2 unlocks easy mode while Black 2 unlocks hard mode. You can send copies of the 'keys' to the other game. (That way White 2 can have hard mode and vice versa.)
     
    more than likely just the price put up by the seller, it's really easy for them to make a few extra bucks with those games still being highly sought after. the only noticeable differences in the games is White Forest/Black City and then the aesthetic change to Opelucid City. As far as I'm aware, other than version exclusives, those are the only two differences between the two.
     
    Odd. To most people White is the "correct" one - due to N having Reshiram and you having Zekrom... which is reflected in N's nature, anime, etc. I dunno, weird. You'd have thought it would be the other way around.

    Version exclusives wise? I think white has been considered to "win" - Braviary and Reuniclus vs Mandibuzz and Gothitelle, at least in BW. B2W2 may be a different story but if I recall there was definitely a huge preference over White early on. Sooo again I don't really know why the black counterparts would have been dearer.

    But as for making a mistake, nah, you do miss out on those awesome two Pokemon buuuut you'll survive! ...except for the fact that wifi doesn't work anymore so you're stuck trying to find someone local to entirely complete the Pokedex :( Best of luck!

    I'm sure White had the more popular version exclusives, as pointed above. Braviary, Lilligant and Reuniclus were notably more popular than their respective Black counterparts Mandibuzz, Whimsicott and Gothitelle. Zekrom was also more popular than Reshiram in the West, though it was the opposite case in Japan.
