4th Gen Bowl cut spacesuit maniacs.

[PokeCommunity.com] Bowl cut spacesuit maniacs.

So, you meet these guys as you return to Jubilife after beating Roark in a gym battle. You see the Professor Rowan being attacked by someone in spacesuit like clothes, wanting his research. Of course, you arrive in the nick of time to save him. Then they start becoming more frequent as they see their plan through. Speaking of their plan, it's rather...ambitious. They plan to create a new universe to replace our one. You battle them throughout their numerous strongholds, including one in Eterna and their main HQ in Veilstone, facing commander after commander, all to try and thwart their plan to create a new universe. However...Cyrus, their leader and the weird guy you saw on your way through Mt Coronet, puts his plan into motion right in front of your eyes, using his Red Chain forged from the Lake Guardians to harness the power of the beings of space and time, Palkia and Dialga respectively. As the end of the world draws near, you challenge Cyrus to a final battle, and you, being the Pokemon baws you are, beat him at Spear Pillar. He, as all great villains do, says he'll be back, and runs off into the night.

Of course, if you have Platinum, they do indeed come back. In Stark Mountain, you can encounter Charon and the remains of Team Galactic threatening to make the volcano erupt, with this final plan ending with Mars and Jupiter, 2 of the Galactic Commanders quitting Team Galactic, and the evil team being left to Charon. He fails and is arrested near the end.

So, tl;dr done with, some questions~

- How do you feel about Team Galactic?

- What did you think of their plan?

- How about Cyrus? What were your impressions of him?

go on and talk about it as much as you want, my darling budews. :)

Team Galactic sucks, that's how I feel about them.
Planning to create a new universe to replace ours is laughable, they can't even do it right.
Then Cyrus, the baws, is mad and twisted.

Honestly, I see Team Galactic as a team with a rather odd motivation compared to the other teams in the franchise. For example, Team Rocket, Aqua and Magma focus on stealing and capturing Pokemon for their own needs. Team Galactic does this with the Lake Guardians but for different purposes. They want a new universe, a new life. Their leader wants to get rid of the Pokemon world completely instead of ruling it. Overall, Team Galactic is pretty interesting as its kind of different from the usual 'blah blah let's steal Pikachu?' kind of stuff you see in the anime/other games.

Again, their plan is a nice concept for an evil organization but it's pretty strange. Why would you want to get rid of the world rather than just change/rule it? Isn't that a smarter idea? Why would you want to get rid of yourselves and humanity? Just eradicate the humans you don't want and live in a 'perfect' world or something. The idea of getting rid of the whole universe is pretty stupid in my opinion but hey, it's Team Galactic. They can do what they want I guess. Overall the concept itself though is good. It's just flawed in logic.

Cyrus is okay I guess. He's a crazy guy as you'd expect. I have to say though, it's pretty impressive how he managed to gain so many followers. As a person himself, he's cold. He doesn't think about consequences and is driven by motivation. He is passionate about destroying the universe, he doesn't care about himself or the other people who live with him and hes never really shown any warmth in the games. He's not mean per se but not a person you'd hang out with as a friend. It's also interesting how a man can just get the idea of destruction. Was he influenced by something in his life? Cyrus could of once been a good guy, just someone who went a bit twisted when something wrong happened. Who knows? :p

I actually liked Team Galactic. While their goal was kind of extreme, it made sense. Moreso than Team Plasma or Flare's. Their battle music was pretty epic too.

They're one of my favourite evil teams for sure.

Team Galactic is my favorite "evil" team in any main series game, no contest.

They're pokemon games. I don't need high drama or profundity - I just need an excuse to travel around a region and catch some pokemon and fight some baddies, and I like to have a good time along the way. Team Galactic has the best costumes, the best haircuts and, by a huge margin, the best music. That's enough for me.

And Cyrus is full-on bug-eyed insane, which is what I like in an evil leader. He's not my favorite though - he was until Ghetsis, who manages to one-up him in the full-on bug-eyed insane department.

Team Galactic has to be my favorite evil team in the series. The admins are the ones that intrigued me the most, particularly Mars and Saturn. Their goal was highly ambitious, but yeah, it made lots more sense than the other evil team's. Cyrus was okay, I don't really have an opinion on him

Team Galactic is one of the better criminal organizations, in my opinion. Only thing I'm not too find of is their costumes; why wear spacesuit while you're on earth? It just doesn't make much sense to me, haha. Plus, they move around a lot from place to place, so it would have been better for them if they'd worn something more comfortable. Personally, I feel Cyrus is bit of a scary-looking dude. He's not so bad at heart, though, so that's good. n__n"

Team Galactic certainly commanded an endearing presence over Sinnoh. I did really like wha t they stood for in terms of an evil organization, as I felt some in the series were lacking in depth of character. Game Freak did a wonderful job in developing these bowl-cut grunts, as well as their sharp leaders.

For example, Team Rocket, Aqua and Magma focus on stealing and capturing Pokemon for their own needs.
I disagree with the latter two - they were more focused with the 'needs' for helping water/land Pokémon respectively and hence try to change the environment for the better (only extremely foolishly). TR however were more purely motivated for money and power rather than other more elaborate motives like that.

On the whole I was alright with Galactic... I liked Cryus' character and how he effectively was conning the rest of the group into doing what he wanted, which was really different to what he 'advertised' to them. And the other admins were more memorable than the secondary admins of the criminal teams in previous games as well, so that was a plus.

Personally, I LOVE, love, LOVE Team Plasma. What a fun group! I mean sure, they're evil, but they are extremely memorable as a whole. I can't really complain about that. The clothes are "eh", but at the same time I respect it. They are meant to be "high fashion" and I'm sure they're meant for people to think they're insane. From reading most posts and talking to others elsewhere, it definitely worked. They're overall a very quirky and entertaining group of baddies.
