I think I like the personas Katie Tiedrich came up with best, though that's not fanfic. For fanfic... there was Jade...? something...? that wrote some good/interesting stuff.

Haha, at least 25% of FanFiction users has some kind of precious jewel or metal in their username. =P /jokes I try going back every now and then, but all that ends up happening about 6/10 times is that I con-crit, and get blocked.

...There's no excuse for him having the same mentality when he's supposed to be sixteen, though. >__>

That would be hard to believe, unless you're Luffy from One Piece.

HAHA Well as some one said, Luffy's 20 or 19 years old and he's pretty much the sameXD So writers could do that with Ash to avoide that crazyness of Shippying, you seen how many ships Ash has, who knows what would happen LOL. My age-tracker works like this, because I feel like there has been much meddling in Pokemon's time.

Kanto - 10
Johto - 11-12
Hoenn - 13-14
Sinnoh - 12-13
Unova - 11

The fact that time was screwed with in Sinnoh is supported by the simple fact of May's breast size. /notactuallyproof

Luffy's a bit different, though. He's gotta be old enough to (mostly) take care of himself and (mostly) understand what's going on around him, and has been specified to be "in love with adventure". I don't think Ash will ever quite have that same thing placed upon him... he seems to have already been maturing over time, especially in the Hoenn saga, though he's reverted (refer to above list).

I hate to think that he "went back" to being so young in Unova.. ;; Mainly because most people considered him to be around 14 or 15 in Hoenn and Sinnoh. They should've had him age, even by a couple of years.

Although, somehow it feels like he got his personality back somewhat, since he got a somewhat boring in in a couple past gens. :/ I think it helps that Iris and Dent have more of a personality than Hikari and Brock, too. xD;

Though, pairing Ash with Dent feels so awkward when it's known that Ash is like.. 10. D: ugh.
I'm just blocking out his age. la la la laaaa. Though, it makes me wonder how old is Dent is. If he has a job like a Sommelier, he's gotta be at least 15 or 16..

I dunno, I only watched through season 8. So I remember him more as enthusiastic but more rational then he was in Kanto. More mature, I guess.

This is true.
I think he's 15 (though for months he was declared 8 by Bulbapedia xD). But we're talking in the Pokemon world, where 10 year olds can travel unsupervised throughout an entire country. For all we know, Dent could be 10 like Ash.

Dent certainly doesn't seem 10.. xD; He seems to be the same age as Brock, since I think part of the idea was for Ash and Iris to have someone older traveling with them. Though, I get your point about the age thing.. x__x sometimes, I want to hit the Pokemon writers over the head. xD;

Ash seemed more mature in Hoenn, to me. Too bad Dent wasn't with them then..

I'm kinda hoping that he'll get to that point again by the time Unova ends.



They could at least throw some Cafemocha hints into the movies. ; ;

And we can hope. How long will Unova be, do you suspect? 1 season, like Kanto? 2? 3?

I bet they'll get at least into the ultra-frindship zone in the movies. What are Zekrom and Reshiram again? Truth and ideals, yeah? Perhaps they'll have a conflict, movie-depending. Like... Iris pursuing her ideals, Dent seeking the truth, and Ash trying to be victorious...

I doubt he's older than 15, just because I can't see any of the main characters being that old.
Well, wait, Jessie and James are both 17, but that's them. So eh.

I have a feeling that Unova will be just as long as DP, or if it's shorter, I don't imagine it'll be TOO much shorter. Hoping not, at least. ;;

We can hope. Something like that would be neat, and it'll also be interesting to see the differences between the two movies. Might make for two different chances to see some type of Cafemocha moment in some form. Hints in the episodes aren't there as much now as they were towards the start, so.. crossing my fingers for the movies.

Yeah, I do wish the episodes had more hints. Or at least, you know, Ash and Dent hanging out together and joking around like they had been. I feel like the group as a whole doesn't spend a whole lot of time interacting nowadays.

The movies are coming out on my birthday. :3 That's... not too far away now, wow.

Yeahhhh, I agree. I've noticed the lack of interaction, and I hope it doesn't continue like that for every single episode. It seems like they comment about whatever's going on, but don't really spend time talking to each other aside from that. Iris just interacts most with Kibago. I miss Ash and Dent's interaction. ;;

They're releasing on your birthday? Lucky you, that's a nice gift.. XD; especially if you get to watch 'em the day of, if that happens to be possible.

Hopefully at least episode 38 will have more interaction, what with Dent being a detective for an episode. I feel like he and Ash would have fun playing detective and sidekick while Iris stands by all like >__>
Oh, and maybe when they get to Nimbasa the group as a whole will actually do something together. Maybe ride that ferris wheel everyone is obsessing over~

And yeah. I hope they'll be out online soon after. Like... that Sunday.

I saw a summary of the first bit of the comic version and... it didn't have anything interesting in it. >__> Well, it will probably be interesting in movie version, but not summarized so blandly and taking forever like that.

Oh, and next episode there seems like there will be a lot of shirtless Ash. And Dent is being skillful with a rod.

It kind of looks like Ash/Dento are working together in the next episode, or at least that's what I'm hopping. Ash being shirtless is great too, maybe Dento will look at him a lot and drool or do some thing Yaoi in those scenes LOL. Either way, I see great fan art coming from that.
