The only down side to the DLC's imo is the fact that it puts you in lobbies with pro's, and as I'm not a great player, it distracts me from playing it.
I beg to differ, if anything it's the other way around. XD
I mean yea, I've played with random people before that were good... and all they did was play zombies. But most of the time if I play with random people it's just people who go off doing whatever they want to do. You say "Come here and watch this window" and they run off to another room and go down, you say "pull back to this room" and they don't do it. They open doors they don't need to be opening, and so on. I mean you don't have to be a "pro" at it, just think a little.
Turns out that infinity ward let us down with black ops because it has one of the worst game engines ever.
Infinity Ward has nothing to do with Black Ops. Even if the original engine was made by IW it was Treyarch that didn't use the 4.0 that was used in MW2. They went back to WaW and used that engine to make Black Ops. I can't blame IW for Treyarch not using the newest engine, unless somehow IW said no (and I don't see why because WaW was a modified version of the CoD4 engine).
Anybody feel like posting what their custom classes are?

~ S&D Speedy
Spectre/AK74u + Rapid Fire, M1911 + Extended Mags, Semtex, Hardline Pro

I tend to only play Search (S&D) these days, so as you can see by my classes most of them tend to have a "flip side" to them. The flip side to "S&D Main" is "Main Weapon", the flip side of "Long Main" is "Long Shot", and so on. What I do is the first round is I pick a Hardline class, and with that all I need is 2 kills for Spy Plane. 95% of the people will not put a Spy Plane up the first round (they'll save it for the next round), so I don't have to worry about that until round 2. Now between rounds I'll check to see if anyone has 3 kills, if they don't I'll keep with the Hardline class, and if they also had Hardline and got 2 kills for a Spy Plane they'll call it in as soon as the round starts. And since they're calling it in right away I have a chance to switch to my Ghost class if need be. Round 3 I normally run Ghost, and round 4 I go back to Hardline if I have a Care Package. Even if they have a Spy Plane they'll call it in right away and I have a counter in the pocket. But that's a shutout game, S&D you have to play by ear if things gets mixed up.
