    okey i shouldn't post this(i think?) (this was two years a go).when the Twin Towers fell?

    ME: i felt sad very :( ummm..... i have a few things to remeber it but i didn't know anyone who died but than a I saw a video and it was all zoomed in and u could see all the people dieing. It was very sad most(every one in the us should have saw it) people in US remeber it. :( :(

    Ohh one of my cousins could've died because she worked there but then retired.
    One of the teachers in my school was shooting pictures when it happened.

    Btw, did anyone heard of the rumor when the plane from crashed Twin Towers, the smoke created a devil face? I saw it somewhere in T.V.
     
    This topic could easily spiral down into a nightmarish political debate...for the love of peace, if we're going to discuss let's keep this to discussion of the day: not the causes or the repercussions ._.;;

    All I'll say for now that my absolute first reaction was the thought that the Earth Liberation Front had done it...they're like Greenpeace, except militant. They burn Hummer dealerships in California and stuff like that...I think my guess was more off than anyone's that day o_O;;

    Buuuuut anyway, to make a long story short I thought we were going to have a nuclear war with someone that day and I was pretty freaked out...I got made fun of for crying but I couldn't help it. I was always sort of sensitive when it came to watching pictures of people dying, especially by the thousands...

    Hmm, yeah, I heard of that rumor, but if you think about it, you can make it look like anything if you really focus on it. It's like bumps on your ceiling, or clouds!

    I was in school when I heard about it, and all my teachers kept the T.V. on to see what happened. When my mom picked me up from school, she said it frightened her badly, and she wanted to come pick us up from school. Good ol' mom!

    Oh, and the really strange thing is, the day before it happened, on September 10th, it was my little sister's birthday. Such joy, before such a tragedy.....
    Many people even say it was just as bad or worse then the events that took place at Pearl Harbor.

    I'm not sure....
    I just know that it was truly a sad time for the home of the brave....

    It was 1-2 years before 9/11 she retired...so she was pretty much safe.
    I don't know what kind of job she has now.

    From what I saw on TV, the smoke had two holes on the top and a hole on the bottom so it really looked like a face..*shrugs*..propaganda probaly.
    You must know about the 20 dollar bill trick also eh? :P

    My teacher's birthday was in 12/9 and if I remember correctly, it was the day of that Pearl Harbor attack.
     
    i think the next day the tried to crash one on the pentagon? ohh and someone died on this freky grils birthday and her birthday is coming again!!!!!
     
    The next day? Actually, all the attacks happened on 9/11, within an hour of each other I think...the plane went into the pentagon about 9:40 A.M. if memory serves me right, about 50 minutes after the first attacks...

    This is a very fragile topic. One wrong comment from someone and it could turn into a huge flame war. I'm going to watch it very closely, and if there is one thing said that I don't like, then I will not hesitate to close it.

    Anyways, I felt really sad about it. It was just so hard to believe...

    I was in Taiwan when I heard my father saying that he saw a plane hitting the Twin Towers. I consider New York City to be my 1st hometown, and I remember whenever my dad drove us into Manhatten, I would see them standing the proud-like, a symbol of the city. And they were gone...
     
    i remember being at school and not really knowing what the 2 towers were, i kept confusing them with the trans-america building for some reason. it was very sad...
    i was at ground zero not long ago, and there's a list of the people who died in the attacks, and my name was on it.
    or rather, a man with my name. it was really eye opening.
     
    Yeah pity, I never knew what they were until they were gone.

    I was at home, twas a Tuesday, I had pinkeye, and skipped school. My father woke me up and said something about towers being bombed, I wasn't listening much, it seemed like a dream. Waddled up to the living and saw the TV, rubbed my eyes, and looked again.. two weird smoking towers with a plane in the side and people jumping out everywhere... yeah, that was harsh..

    Also do any of you know the number on the plane? One of the Webding fonts on Microsoft Word, if you know soemthing like the plane number, the day, and NY or something, with that font, it shows two towers, a plane, a skull, and fire or something i don't remember, but its true... its really weird thought. But I forgot the plane number.. anyone know?
     
    ahh...the ol' Sept. 11, 2001 discussion. Just like Pearl Harbor, every American citizen alive at that time is gonna go on to remember exactly where they were when it happened. Me, I was in my second period class at my ninth grade school. I was a keyboarding class and my teacher had baan called to the door by one of her teacher friends. She then told us to be quiet while she goes to ask another teacher what radio station the news is on. She came back and turned the radio in her room to that station. I was busy doing my typing assignment that I didn't pay attention the what was being said on the radio, but I did pick out the words "airplane" "hijacked" "crash" "Twin Towers". Although I heard these words, I didn't interpret their meaning and I didn't comprehend any of it. Right after 2nd period was lunch time and I noticed parents were pcking their kids up early all throughout the 30 minutes I had for lunch. I hadn't the slightest idea what was going on, I thought it was a holiday or something O_o. When I got to my thirfd period class, which was my Physics class, my teacher explained everything to us in detail about what happened. And that's when it all clicked for me. "A couple of airplanes were hijacked and then crashed into the Twin Towers of New York"...hmm...why am I telling you I don't think it goes with the topic that much...

    Jokestr, I actually did hear that thing about the wingdings font. I forgot what it is you type, but it does come out as: two towers, then a plane facing them, then a skull and crossbones, than a flame.
     
    I remember I just couldn't believe this was happening. It was so hard for me to let it sink into my brain...I was sitting in my Italian class around third period. Then, all of a sudden another teacher came into our class and he began talking to my teacher--she put her hand over her mouth and she was shaking her head. I didn't know what was going on but we didn't do anything else until the bell rang. After that, I went to my Algebra class and my teacher had the TV on already and I saw the two towers getting hit by the last plane. I just couldn't believe it...I was in utter shock when I watched it happen. She said to us: "Hopefully this will be the only horrible thing you guys will have to see in your lifetime..."
     
    my grandma was born on D-day (a couple years before the actual event)
    and yesterday in school we started watching pearl harbor... it was so dumb... i couldn't beleive how hollywood has the nerve to take a very touchy event in US history and turn it in to a crap romance movie...
    if you're making a war movie you DO NOT employ josh hartnet (spelling?) and ben aflek (spelling?)
    just as if you're making a pirate movie you DO NOT employ orlando bloom
     
    I had just came home from school, and my mom was watching the news. My best-friend at the time called and was saying there might be another war. I was already mad that day because I had gotten a work notice [something you get for not doing homework], and I didn't want to be on punishment.
     
    I knewit was going to happen. If you look there were ton's and ton's of sign that you could tell we were going to be hit.
