There are a few where I meant to reply to someone in a thread, and I accidentally blogged it instead. I soft deleted those ones already.

Honestly, I think soft deleting them should be enough...no one else but staff, likely only h-staff can see them anyways.

If a member of H-staff is glad to help you with this, that's their call really. I don't see any other reason for them to refuse. Your best bet is to just PM one of them.

You should PM him with the links to the specific entries you want removed and ensure he can actually see them. If he can not, then move up a rank or two and try again. :p

Sorry for bumping this thread, but can a staff member delete my soft-deleted entries as well, there's quite a few, but I don't really want someone reading them :<

Consider all 90 of your previously deleted blog entries now gone.

Viola! Your blog entry has been removed.

I suggest you become more aware of the reply area when you're making a post and when you're making a blog. I mean, the page for posting a blog and posting a reply aren't at all the same, and one should easily be able to recognize the fact that they're making a blog entry and not a reply to a thread... I don't consider it a big deal or anything, since that's something that's so minor, but just making a suggestion.

    Anyone else? lmao...

On some forum layouts, the reply button and the blog button are easily mistakable.

That shouldn't matter. As Nick already stated, it should be very apparent as to whether or not you're posting in your blog or quoting a member and replying to a thread. There's a big difference in the blog post text box and the reply to thread text box. Don't go blaming the forum layout.

Then change the layout? Because by the looks of it you're making a lot of "accidents", and then blame it on the layout. Ok... change the layout, prob fixed.

If your current style is a problem, you should at least consider switching to The Stand Nexus. In that style, the "Blog" button is nice and red and it's tough to mistake it for the "Quote" button. I understand that people can get attached to certain styles (hell, I used Caramel Sentret for two and a half years) but it's just a suggestion. :)

And if you don't wanna change the style, you could quote directly from the url, for example:

    https://www.pokecommunity.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=6627383

    See that?

Copy the small post number above the person's post on the right and copy the "p=" part then just put it after newreply&.

    https://www.pokecommunity.com/showpost.php?p=6627383&postcount=14

    ^ from that url.

Then paste the first link into your browser and you're still quoting them without accidentally pressing blog. You could also have the basic url copied to your PC notepad, so it's easier to remember.

You could also directly copy and paste the text into a quote box to avoid that, too. Just throwing out some other suggestions that you could possibly do which have the same effect, just take a little bit longer. :D

That is a pain. I am 100% sure that posts are quoted more than they are blogged. So why should it be made inconvinient for all those who post, but not for the small amount who blog the posts. So, 1. You can either move the blog button all the way over to the right of all the small icons (or maybe even on the left-most side of the post, opposite the other icons.)
    2. Remove the Blog button, and let the bloggers have the "small inconvinience"

I think that letting people delete their mistake blog posts fully and not just soft delete them would suffice. This way, the bloggers would be spared the "small inconvenience" and the mods wouldn't have to come up with whole new layouts without removing or moving Blog Post button.

That could also work as a feature in VMs and blog post comments if someone starts spamming your profile/blog.

The problem is, if anybody could remove their blogs/posts this easily, this mean I can post a blog insulting everybody and then remove it... and we would have no evidence if we were to infract them for that, or if he appealed the infraction/ban/whatever (and yes, it happened once).

So, even if it takes longer, we removed that feature so a staff member is required to review any material that is going to be permanently deleted. Just in case. After all, it doesn't take that long.
