I don't think I did for fun or to beat a game... (I don't even play games that allow cheating other than Pokemon =D) I only cheat to reach something that is not obtainable through normal meanings or by unobtainable meanings =D

I've only cheated if I feel that I can't get past a certain part. I remember cheating on the game Casper, when I had no idea of what I was doing. The cheat was to float over walls.

I never cheated. However i did mod the game in a way i could make OP units... Does that count as cheating aswell? xD

I've technically cheated at Sim City 4 because the cities you end up with by adhering strictly to a budget are boring, hodgepodge grids that are awful places to live. I prefer my cities to have a bit more variety in the street layout and when I do use grids they have to fit a master plan grid layout. For this, I use money mods of various flavors.

Cheating gets the fun out of a game. So far I haven't cheated into a game, though I may eventually do it only if I don't have too much time to spend on it or if there's some bug that forces me to cheat to get past it.

Does using walkthroughs count as cheating...? D: The way I see is that I use them only to collect items that would otherwise be hidden if I don't use it. Other than that, I don't explicitly cheat in order to gain advantage in the game or over others.

Regarding "walking through walls" cheat, that makes me think of the Counterstrike days, where it's just that unplayable due to hackers everywhere. Walking through walls, flying in the map, scoring kills from an illegal area, etc etc etc...

Used to cheat a lot when I was a kid, but stopped doing it as I grew up. Cheating, one way or another, just ends up ruining the gameplay experience for me, so I just don't bother with it. xD" Only game you'd ever see me cheating nowadays, is Grand Theft Auto; that's all.

I always beat the game first, but afterwards I goof off and have fun with cheats and mods. Sometimes (in the case of some mods that make the main story more interesting, for example) I might restart the game, and for others (GTA) I'll go crazy with post-game cheating.

I have never, however, cheated because I couldn't beat a game. If I couldn't beat a game, no matter what I tried, I would look up where I screwed up. I might restart. I might leave it for a month, then restart. But I wouldn't cheat because I couldn't beat it.

On Ratchet and Clank 3, there was a cheat that changed your wrench weapon into a lightsaber..it was one awesome cheat to me.

Also, like Nympha said, only in GTA is cheating, well, good nowadays.

I always finish a game completely no matter what first, but when I finish then I just end up cheating the heck out of the game, even to the point where I actually mess with the code and such, I don't think I ever cheat to get past a stuck are or level before.

GTA is an overall exception.

I cheat for fun all the time if I've beaten the game. Like, I used to hack the classes of all my units on my GBA Fire Emblem games with my friend's AR. Then I'd do a playthrough with those hacked units. XD

I used to..until I started breaking my games by Action Replaying the crap out of them ._. I'd especially enjoy just doing some of the dumbest stuff imaginable: Walking through walls, have ridiculously good weapons, my attacks hit for ridiculous damage, etc.

I cheated A LOT especially when comes to pokemon. I also cheated on FFTA2 just to get the class, equipment(s) and abilities I wanted.
