Card themes that could use a comeback.

Hey, are there any card themes from past generations that you would like to see make a comeback in the near future? Like for example, Dark Pokemon, Team Rocket, or maybe Teamup?

Team/Trainer Pokemon would be fun. We already kind of have delta species back in the form of Tera Pokemon but it's not quite the same. Radiants are basically the old Gold Star/Shining cards so we kind of still have those.

I think the GX era was when I was having the most fun with the game, though those are things that technically still exist through mechanics like VStar and the current ex mechanics. The shift away from Basic Pokemon towards evolution stages that each had super attacks you could only use once per game made things like setting up your board in the early-game feel a lot more important, and the late-game a lot more interesting. I have really fond memories of surprising my opponents by playing Kartana GX to just take my last Prize card for free out of nowhere.
Nowadays it feels like we're constantly getting new kinds of Rule Box Pokemon and it means every few years we have to see something new that doesn't synergize with old cards (such as GXs and Vs not working on the same rules) so I like cards like Radiants or Prism Stars or Ace Specs that don't have to synergize with a specific archetype or format to still be valuable.

If they reprinted Tag Team cards again I would stop playing the game with no hesitation. I'm glad they're gone.

Prisim stars were cool to me, I liked how they could be trainers or pokemon! I also just like how the cards looked in general!
