Yes, Absol is mostly a cat, did you know? It is supposed to be a cat, with dog like features, the only reason it is in the WH, is that it has dog features. So, I think it should be a cat, plus it is based off of something in mythology, don't know what though...

It says in Bulbapedia, Absol resembles a wolf with feline features it also has a cat-like face.
It could be counted as a Cat.

Yeah, I never looked him up on Bulbapedia though, I just searched facts on it about how it is linked to a creature in mythology that warns people about natural disasters.

The parts of Absol that look faintly cat-like are its face... It has the unluckiness, as well as the "Black Cat" element (It is the Disaster pokemon). That makes it cat-like.
