    How have your political/moral beliefs changed over time? What has influenced these changes? Are they significant alterations or smaller improvements?
     
    Well first and foremost, I have switched from being pro-capitalist when I was younger to now being a rather vocal advocator for socialism. I've also adapted my views on certain issues (for example I'm now pro-euthanasea whilst I used to be staunchly against it). Nothing else major comes to mind.
     
    At one point, back when I was easily-led and stupid, I was a climate change denier. I did some research, and now try to change the minds of dopes who still deny its existence.
     
    I went from being completely ignorant and uninformed to a kind of 'born again' liberal in high school. You know how it is when you make a sudden change and you get so self-righteous. And then in college I began to think more for myself, but at that point it was more of a nuanced change rather than a change in direction. I've had broader life experiences since school - living in a country with free healthcare, having been homeless for a while - and they've only reinforced my core beliefs about social justice and things like that.
     
    They've definitely changed! When I was 20-21 I was violently an ant sj lol and now I'm basically what you'd call an "SJW" I've learned a lot over the years from friends and such. I'd probably punch myself in the face haha.

    I got views but in the grand scheme of it all, politics in general is nothing but manipulation and control, it's a specific agenda that lots can't really comprehend and it gets deeper than that. I'd rather be a leader than a sheep, you gotta draw that line somewhere in politics if ya catch my drift. The way a lot of people perceive politics is incredibly misguided on how the whole system works.

    I suppose my views have gotten more and more extreme every time I see world events. I went from simply not liking what I perceived as political corruption to honestly believing that the only way humanity will survive is if we drop having countries and religions and unite as one.

    Otherwise we are not going to be able to stop the inevitable nuclear war, or climate change, or worldwide poverty, etc.

    We've worked so hard to divide ourselves and draw lines and I just don't see it as sustainable practice for our species...

    Oh and I reeeaaaallly hate big corporations. A lot.

    I've gone from actually caring about the state of world affairs to just sitting back drinking my nights away and waiting for the whole world to die.
     
    For most of my life I've tried to stay out of political discussions due to a lack of interest (and a lack of comprehension tbh) but I think I was indoctrinated into a more right-wing way of thinking through certain non-political shows I listened to for entertainment. A few key personalities who I was a fan of influenced me over the years and I only started to become more centred within the past 9 months or so. Nothing major happened to turn me off from them. I just realized that they were getting on their soap box a little too often and it was having its effect on me for better and worse. I'm not saying I was brainwashed by the evil right or anything either. Just that I formed certain viewpoints that I don't think I would have if I had not been listening to those shows and podcasts. If anything I'm thankful for those who influenced me during that period of time as it woke me up to a lot of ****ty things that some supposedly progressive and tolerant liberals tend to do.

    Not sure where that leaves me on the political spectrum but I'm not interested in labels or joining teams anyway.
     
    In regards to myself, I'm probably just as liberal as I was a year or so ago, if not more, but I am better at expressing my ideologies and being open about my failures and/or blind spots on the political/moral spectrum. My core beliefs certainly haven't changed, but they're a healthier balance of hope & cynicism. I'm less prone to letting my want for people to be 'good' cloud the reality of the situation, much less prone to letting my cynicism override basic fact. It's just how the passage of time works. Eventually you grow and mature and what not. Having a job in the charity industry has probably strongly influenced me as well: you learn certain truths, both positive and negative, about the people you're serving and the government you live under. I guess I sound a lot more naive than I really am, but I'm not like that.

    It's really all about the expression and implementation of my beliefs rather than the beliefs themselves - how to best 'enact social justice' and so forth.
     
    I went from hardcore liberal to a moderate that'll tilt towards either direction on the political spectrum (economically). Socially I'm more liberal. More so in a sense of social freedom rather than legislated equality, however.
