So in many video game series and franchises, there are many characters who seem to be in a good place while there are some characters who you might have felt better off in a different game or at least star in his/her own game for reasons such -> A) as the character in said video game series is so interesting that he/she has to have their own game to stand out from the 100,000 others, B) The character's lore, characteristics, and background seem to fit better in a different genre, C) Not enough Blood and Violence to give this character justice, among other things. So what happens to some of these characters you may wonder? They are given their own spinoff games in order to shine.
So to cite what i feel is one of the best examples of a well-executed Spinoff, lets look at Metal Gear Solid's Raiden, who started out as the protagonist that people were playing in MGS2, then got some parts in MGS4, but was given his own spinoff game in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which was a deviation from the stealth based gameplay of MGS into a hack-n-slash action game. I felt that this was a well executed spinoff since it gave so much for Raiden to be cool, likable, badass, BLOOD DANCIN, and among other things to redeem his rather shoddy start. Metal Gear Rising with its action oriented gameplay and ridiculous set pieces was perfect for Raiden in order to truly shine and grow as a modern day icon, at least in my opinion.
If you could ask me? What character in my opinion needs a really cool spinoff title? Street Figher's Akuma.

I mean you look at this man, sure he's an iconic Street Fighter character, but reading more into his lore, I feel like the not-so-brutal and generally light and friendly, aka "No Blood and Graphic Violence" atmosphere of Street Fighter does not give enough justice for Akuma to truly shine as a character. I mean this is a man who has broken the Ayers Rock just to warmup, and even Punched a Naval Submarine into smitheereens because said passing naval vessel interrupted Akuma's training and pissed him off. As far as fandom based power is concerned, Akuma has won 2 internet death battles (Vs Shang Tsung in Death Battle, and against Bleach's Kenpachi TWICE in One Minute Melee). I almost forgot to mention, he even went toe to toe against a literal God in Asura's Wrath in that infamous DLC Episode. If I was ambitious enough, I could easily see Akuma starring in his own Action Beat em up game in the same vein as that of Metal Gear Rising + Asura's Wrath + God of War + Brutal Doom where he could be fighting the likes of Street Gangs, Mexican Drug Cartels, ISIS expys, Rogue Para Military Corporations, Neo Nazi groups trying to create a new Reich, Cyberdemons from the 7th Hells, THE GUY FROM HATRED, among other things to test his might and look for the ultimate challengers beyond Street Fighter and Fighting games in general. Tldr, Akuma doing totally brutal things such as punching people to death while making them explode, or ripping people's spinal cords out of their neck sockets, among other Akuma things, and firing his Gou Hadoukens at Russian Mammoth Tanks. And the most interesting part of this proposed spinoff, Akuma is THE ONE HUNTING THEM DOWN just to feed his need for challenge.
