Children's Card Games!

So, uh, hello. My name is hidden somewhere in my username, but most people here just call me Don anyway. I am 22 and live in Minnesota, I work full-time as a temp CSR at a call center, and I have an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Computer Network Administration, though I feel like I learned just enough there to know that I know so very little of what I could know to work with computers. I will be going back to school either this fall or this coming spring to start working toward a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. My free time is spent doing idle busywork and lazing about doing nothing, depending on how tired I am. I basically run on caffeine from coffee during the work week and on weekends I am constantly alternating between going out shopping and doing housework.

And that's really all I feel like typing up 6 hours before I have to actually get up to get ready for work (I am submitting this at 12:22 AM my time, so I expect it to be up 4-6 hours from now). So I'm off to bed. Ask away! There are some answers I will not be comfortable giving away, but I do think most of you won't even think to ask those of questions.

Uh... well, it could be one of 3: My Japanese Meloetta EX, my Japanese Full-Art Meloetta EX, or my English Gold Star Espeon. One of those 3, but it changes by the hour that's how indecisive I am regarding my favorite of the 3.

What exactly happened when you were modded? How did it all go down and when was it? Were you surprised it happened?

Well, I got a PM from Lightning while out shopping with my family asking if I wanted to try to revive the TCG section. I said yes. And then spent a lot of the rest of the trip on my phone trying to reply to everyone's congratulations messages without missing a single one. It was hard to tell if I had missed any from my tiny-screened smartphone I had at the time.

What's with the topic title? I thought you made children's card games. Do you? That'd be so cool. :D

It's a reference to what I do at PC, simply and to what is currently my most expensive hobby! No, I don't make card games. I wish I was in R&D at one of the card game companies, though, and I'd try to be a voice for balance.

Also, yes, how do you stay on this website for years? I've only been here for months and I'm already fatigued.

Are you more into collecting than deck building and playing the game?

I'm considerably more into collecting, but I do enjoy playing. My least favorite aspect is deck-building because I want to pack as many things into my decks as possible, which ends up with me having 40 extra cards sitting out after I've finished building a deck.

Do you have any completed sets? Mini or full sets, doesn't matter. :)

I think the only complete set I have is Dragon Vault. It's the only set I know that I for sure have a complete set of.

Tell us about your first card. Do you still have it?

Uh... I don't even remember. I wanna say it was one of the cards in one of the half-decks from the starter set since my cousin and I split the cost of one.

I do! I have a sizable collection of manga that sits at 168 books in all, I own over 100 video games across several platforms (I think the count is 200, but I haven't counted since I established I had 60 PC games alone back in 2009), and, I also have every GameInformer printed since November 2008. Naming even more things I have collections of, I have quite a few of the TCG figurines and many of the Happy Meal Pokemon toys from 2011 and 2012, several limited edition anime DVD boxes (about 10), a few limited edition game boxes, numerous video game guides (especially for Pokemon), I have at least one of almost all of the US 50 State quarters and I'm trying amass all the parks & territories ones as well, I have some sports bobbleheads, some other sports novelty collectibles, and around 10 baseball caps. Listing even more of my collectibles, I have a lot of novelty video game merchandise and posters, as well as some miscellaneous anime merchandise, and about 17 anime DVD and/or BluRay boxes.

I also have sizable collection of Magic: The Gathering cards, and small collections (100-400 cards) of a few others (YGO, Harry Potter, DragonBall GT), as well as around 2000 baseball cards, and about 1200 cards from other sports, but you didn't ask about cards, so I'm really just adding these to give you an idea of just how much I collect things. Also save but don't use all of my tins from the TCG.

And now I've lost my train of thought because my brother proposed the idea of a Dairy Queen run and we need to leave right now to get there before they close since it's in the next town. I'm pretty sure there's more I'm missing, like my collections of fiction and non-fiction books.

I feel that the people who are seriously ridiculing, and not just teasing, need to mind their own business.

Then again, I personally haven't encountered such ridiculing myself.
