Visit the Beach!
You decide to pass the time by heading down to the beach.
"Hey kid! Wanna do some fishing!" says a guy in red who comes bolting up to you.
"Argh! Don't hurt me!" you yell in surprise.
"Oh come on, kid! Fishing is good for you health! You catch plenty of good water Pokemon! Aren't you just itching for the peace and serenity of fishing?"
"If I agree, will you go away?"
"Yes."
"I'll do it."

You read a guidebook about the Pokemon found by fishing in the area. Which Pokemon do you want to try and catch?

-Magikarp
-Tentacool
-Wingull
-Wailmer
-Carvanha
-Stuff it. Use the time for TMs instead.

Magikarp. Tailow needs the experience and Magikarp won't be able to hurt him.

Tentacool because it evolves into Tentacruel and has high Sp.D also it can use Poison type attacks. and If we head north after all this it will be awhile before we return to the ocean. Plus every Water source from here to Lilycove has Wailmer and usually Carvanha in it.

Since when couldn't you find Tentacool in near every pool of water?

Anywho, I choose Wailmer as our next capture. We can fight Archie, Fire with Fire (Water, but hey?). And besides, every trainer should have a Pokemon that doesn't actually fit in the Pokemon centre.
 
Tentacool already had 3 votes so Voting is moot. plus tentacool can be found only in the dark blue water in Hoenn witch is the oceans and the river between Mauville and route 119 I think. Plus you drop a rod in any water you'll find Wailmer and Carvanha I picked tentacool due to Poison and whats his name having a treecko now we'll have 2 type advantages on him.

You send Tailow out to fight the jellyfish Pokemon, and Tailow gets in a swift Wing Attack, sending Tentacool spinning backwards. Tentacool uses Supersonic, confusing Tailow. The confused bird flies in circles and eventually rams headfirst into a tree. A coconut falls on it. -_-
The Tentacool is looking hurt already, so what do you want to do?

Hmm a quick attack could result in Tailow hurting itself, a potion would be a waste, a Pokeball could most likely be broken out of,Running would make this a wasted effort,and a great ball seems like a little much for a level 15 tentacool so I'll say Throw a Pokeball


also quick question is this using the Pokemon 3rd Gen, 4th Gen or 5th Gen Movepools?
 
I agree, throwing a Pokeball would be the best choice.

I mean, who ever wanted to capture a Tentacool, other than for the Pokedex? You guys should just get a Poochena!

@Gearuvagen - This game is mostly based off Pokemon Emerald (so far, at least, hint hint), so the 3rd gen movesets are used.

Throw a Poke Ball
The Poke Ball flies and beams up Tentacool. It shakes once... twice... three times... and Tentacool was caught!
You decide you've had enough of the beach and head back into the main city. You still have time for two more places before the battle with Wattson. Where do you want to visit next?
