Take a Look Around...
You decide to take a look around the strange man - you wish you could find the lightswitch. You feel your way around the room and find a small table with an open book lying on top of it. You close it and look at the front cover and can just make out the title 'The Hero from the Clouds'. Huh. You put it in your bag for some light reading later. You keep looking around, and you think you see something moving in a dark corner. You move closer and see a figure on the floor that looks to be... sleeping?
All of a sudden, a massive Pokemon comes out of no where - where did that come from??

It wraps its thick arms around you preventing you from moving or talking at all. You hear May wondering over.
"What's going on?" And all of a sudden another Pokemon leaps from no where and also holds May in place.

The Vigoroth growls and the person on the ground wakes up and gets to his feet, yawning.

"Why hello there. You two don't look like Team Aqua." says the man, and Vigoroth and Slaking let you and May go. You introduce youselves. "Well I'm Norman, the Gym Leader of Petalburg. I came here to put a stop to those Aqua goons, but they beat me. Just. They overwhelmed me with sheer numbers. It may seem like there are only those two goons, but there are many Grunts waiting in the forest around town, ready to jump into any fights that get started. Anyways, I escaped and hid down here in wait until some other trainers showed up."
"So there are more than those two Admins then..." you say.
"Is there any way at all we can win?" asks May. You hear the Admins yelling various threats through the trapdoor, but don't seem to be able to break through.
"Well first we have to get out of this room." says Norman. "And it just so happens I know how." He opens a door in the corner of the room. Wow.
As you step outside, you try to decide on your next move.

Your Options
-Let's fight those Admins!
-Head into the forest on the edge of town.
-We should find the townspeople

Well either way this could end badly. Let's go to the forest. We could have the stealth element and warn people in other towns once we get out.

I'll end it and say Head into the forest on the edge of town.
 
Head into the Forest!
"Well our first course of action should be to take care of the grunts in the woods. I'd bet any amount of money that they're watching us. Meaning sneak attacking them is going to be tough. Come close, pretend you're talking to me." You and May move close into the team huddle. "Now, do you have any ghost Pokemon on you? A Sableye? Excellent..."

"So do you think we should pounce on those people that just came out from the lab?" asks one Team Aqua Grunt to his companion.
"Nah, Shelly and Matt must've invited 'em over. We'd cop it for sure if we attacked their guests." A twig snaps. "Uh, did you hear something, Bob?"
"Nope. Mind must be playing tricks on... GWAAGH!" At that second, Sableye appeared in front of the two guards using its trademark Astonish attack. The first squeals, turns around, and bolts headfirst into a tree. The second reacts much more calmly and reaches for his Poke Balls. Sableye holds up two Poke Balls, releasing your Swellow and May's Doduo. The two flying-types charge into the guard sending him flying. The other guards, alerted by the squeal, come running and begin releasing their hordes of Pokemon.

Swellow, Sableye and Doduo start charging through Aqua's Pokemon, but are quickly being overcome by numbers. Slaking comes pounding through the bushes, knocking small trees aside, followed by a Vigoroth and starts pummelling a group of scared-looking Grimers. The Grunts, taken by surprise, quickly crumple under the onslaught and about ten minutes later, Norman finishes tying all the Grunts together as May calls the police and tells them of the Grunts' location.
"But why didn't the police step in to fight Aqua in the first place?" you ask.
"They know they don't stand a chance. Most of their best agents are already out rescuing the residents of these towns, they don't have enough strong trainers to stand up against Aqua here. So we'll do their job for them."
"Well with these jokers taken care of, we just have to take care of those two clowns in the lab." And then you hear an all-too-familiar cackle. Uh oh. Shelly and Matt must've heard the commotion.
"So you kiddies met up with the big bad Gym Leader. Not that it makes a difference. We could crush you all and many more!" says Matt, grandly.
"Looks like we'll have to fight them." says Norman. He sends out Slaking, and May sends out her Combusken. Shelley sends out Sealeo, and Matt sends out Golbat.

-Battle!-​
So we've got a battle on our hands... who should we send out?

Marshtomp: Our best buddy, and probably our best bet...

Swellow: Sealow has Aurora beam... no battle for Swellow today... unless we can keep Sealow Occupied, so swellow may be an option.

Sableye: well Sableye may work... but I believe is too weak

Tentacool: too weak, we can't use tentacool now

Ralts: Just caught... a no-go

Reccomendation: Marshtomp

Send out Marshtomp!
You decide that the situation calls for your strongest and most reliable Pokemon, and you release Marshtomp, who leaps forward to stand next to Combusken and Slaking.
"I'll kick things off!" yells Norman, "Slaking, Facade!" Slaking glows white and hurtles into Golbat, almost knocking it out in one shot. Matt and Shelly just smile.
"Ooh, very good, Mr Gym Leader. But don't think we've forgotten Slaking's abillity. After an attack like this, it spends time loafing around!" says Matt, "Golbat, Confuse Ray!" Golbat shoots the attack a Slaking who is unable to dodge, and starts tumbling around hurting himself.
"We know that Slaking is a beast of a Pokemon and hard to take down. So let's let him take himself down for us!" says Shelly, with her trademark cackle.
"Marshtomp, Mud Shot!"
"Combusken, Double Kick!" The two attacks race for Sealeo.
"Counter with Aurora Beam!" yells Shelly. The Aurora Beam collides with the Mud Shot, and they explode in mid-air, knocking Combusken back. "Now, Hail!" Sealeo cries out and all of a sudden, vicious hail starts bombarding everyone except Sealeo. It seems to snap Slaking back to its senses and it thuds back over to the fight.
"Wing Attack!"
"Body Slam!" The two Admins aim their attacks directly at Norman, giving Slaking no choice to step in between and take the attacks instead. It sinks to one knee.The attacks on Norman keep coming, and Slaking takes each and every one, eventually giving one final growl, and fainting.
"That was a dirty trick." says Norman, recalling Slaking, "But I am far from done! Vigoroth!" Vigoroth is a white blur as it streaks across the field at Golbat. Matt smiles and releases his second Pokemon, and a second white blur streaks across to meet Norman's Vigoroth. You stare at Matt's newest Pokemon.

The two Vigoroths are locked in a fierce arm-wrestle.
"Hyper Beam!" calls Norman, and his Vigoroth starts charging the attack.
"Protect." says Matt calmly, and a barrier forms around his Vigoroth, shielding him. "Now, while he's recharging, rapid-fire Fury Swipes!" Matt's Vigoroth starts slashing Norman's Vigoroth over and over.
You turn back to Golbat and Sealeo. Golbat is on its last legs, thanks to Slaking's Facade and the hail, but Sealeo has barely been scratched.
"Don't forget," calls over Norman, "They each have two Pokemon. We know that Matt's are Golbat and Vigoroth, and one of Shelley's is Sealeo, but she still has another Pokemon waiting in the wings. Be careful, you two."

-Marshtomp, Mud Shot on Vigoroth!
-Marshtomp, Water Gun on Vigoroth!

Marshtomp, Water Gun!
Marshomp blasts water straight into Golbat, sending him spinning out of control and knocking him out.
"Yeah, good job Marshtomp!" you say, but Marshtomp responds by blasting May's Combusken, who was about to attack Sealeo, with a Water Gun, knocking Combusken out.
"Oi! What's the big idea?" yells May. You look at Marshtomp, who is now staggering around confused.
"And now, Encore!" calls Shelly, and Marshtomp glows white for a moment and then continues firing Water Guns. With Marshtomp confused and stuck on Water Gun, you decide to switch Marshtomp out. Shelly takes this chance to release her second and final Pokemon.

"Pursuit!" calls Shelley. Zangoose cries its name, rushes up and knocks out Marshtomp before it can be returned. "Pursuit is a move that does extra damage if used before you switch out."

The two Vigoroths, now thoroughly exhausted, race at each other one last time using Slash attacks. They hit each other and Norman's Vigoroth collapses. Matt's one is going the same way, but rushes at Norman, Slashing him and then collapsing. Norman collapses, shortly followed by Matt's Vigoroth.

May's Doduo goes flying at Zangoose, hitting it in the belly and sending it skidding backwards.. Shroomish jumps up and uses Stun Spore on Zangoose, paralysing it.
"Now we've got you!" says May.
"Is that so?" says Shelley "Sealeo!" Sealeo flings its hold item, a Lum Berry, at Zangoose, who chomps it, curing the paralysis. "Now it's our turn! Ice Beam!" It blasts the super-effective attack at Shroomish and Doduo, knocking both out. Zangoose picks the two Pokemon up, one in each hand, and flings them at May. They both hit her in the head, one after the other, and she goes down. Ouch.

"And then there was one." says Matt, "I'll let you finish this whelp off, Shelley." Norman and May are both down for the count, and although both of Matt's Pokemon are gone, Shelley still has both of hers. You have four of your Pokemon left. This make or break time. What will you do?

-Abandon Norman and May and flee
-Surrender
-Send out Swellow and Sableye
-Send out Swellow and Tentacool
-Send out Swellow and Ralts
-Send out Sableye and Tentacool

-Send out Swellow and Tentacool - Tentacool can't fight Sealo, and Swellow will be obliterated by Sealo
-Send out Swellow and Ralts - same as above
-Send out Sableye and Tentacool - Sableye Vs Sealo? perhaps...
-Send out Sableye and Ralts - This might be the best option... as there are no weaknesses amongst these 2
-Send out Tentacool and Ralts - ah. no...

Send out Sableye and Ralts!
You throw two Poke Balls, releasing the ghost and psychic Pokemon, and the double battle begins. Zangoose immediately Slashes and Sealeo immediately launches Aurora Beam. Sableye vanishes and Ralts begins teleporting around. Sableye appears in front of Sealeo and uses Fake Out, making it flinch, before vanishing again.
"Encore!" yells Shelly, and Ralts is now stuck on Teleport for a while. The attacks keep on coming, but can't land a hit. Now what?

Your Options
-Fury Swipes on Sealeo!
-Astonish on Sealeo!
-Night Shade on Sealeo!
-Fury Swipes on Zangoose!
-Night Shade on Zangoose!
-Attack Shelly!
-Attack Matt!
