End the Battle!
"May, something is seriously wrong here. We have to stop the battle right now."
"Yeah... I know..." she says, before spasming and falling to the ground.
"May?" you ask, cautiously. May - or at least it looks like May - stands up, and you instantly notice the bright glowing red eyes. That... can't be good.
"On with the battle!" she cries, and you hear the disembodied voice laughing. "Mach Punch!" Breloom and the substitute both run in with the attack, but instead of aiming for Espeon, they nail you in the gut. You fall over backwards, winded. The two Brelooms stand in front of you, also with red glowing eyes. If you could hit the real Breloom, or put a stop to May, you might have a chance here. What will you do?

Your Options
-Earthquake!
-Blast the left Breloom!
-Blast the right Breloom!
-Blast May!
-Blast to the left!
-Blast to the right!
-Blast behind you!
-Random switch!

-Dark Pulse's Analysis-
Hey Guys! It's been a while since I did this, but there is a Game over at stake! so this time, we're gonna have to be careful...

WARNING: FROM HERE ON IN, GAME OVERS MAY OCCUR
-Earthquake!-
Earthquake is probably the best option, as it will hit both Brelooms AND May, BUT Breloom is Grass-type, and therefore resistant to ground-type attacks

-Blast the left/right Breloom-
this is gonna be a flip of a coin. I think that if we hit the substitute, we'll be gone, so watch out with this option
-Blast May!-
I don't think this is the real may, Blast away!

-Blast to the left/right-
unless you think Breloom is going to try to sidestep, don't bother here, there's nothing to blast!

-Blast behind you!-
to be honest, that might not be too bad... as that's where the strange voice seems to be coming from...

-Random switch!-
Pray to the mighty gods of HAX you get either Marshtomp or Sableye...

Reccomendation: Blast May!
Vote: Blast behind you!

Oh my god she has been possecessed! That is why you always bring Holy Water and a Bible whenever you go out on your Pokemon journies, it's also why Pokemon is considered satanic.

Let's see, it would be wrong to hit May as it is obvious an external source is controlling her, a force that either revels in suffering, or wants an end to us.

Earthquake would seem like the obvious choice, but for some reason I sense some kind of trick here.

Random switch would do all of nothing.

And trying to hit the disembodied voice is up to chance.

This really sucks.

Well I'm just going to say screw my instincts and say Eartquake. (But can't substitutes not move or attack anyways?)

Yeah, that's right Dark Pulse, I stole your analasis!..... Yet alas, I was too late.

MAY IS A ROBOT!

I think we should use Earthquake! as Breloom has low defences and it will hit the robot May. The voice behind us might be what's controlling May but who knows it may be Steven.

@Dark Pulse - I always imagined Substitute to be like a low-HP clone of the Pokemon, so that's basically why I wrote it like that.

That is why you always bring Holy Water and a Bible whenever you go out on your Pokemon journies, it's also why Pokemon is considered satanic.
Well, hopefully those cranky mothers groups don't get wind of this...

Anyways, that makes:

Earthquake! - 2
Blast the left Breloom! - 0
Blast the right Breloom! - 0
Blast May! - 0
Blast to the left! - 0
Blast to the right! - 0
Blast behind you! - 1
Random switch - 0

Chose carefully! Cos like DP said, there is at least one Game Over here...

I'm going with Blast behind you! it may be a member of Team Magma getting revenge and it would explain why May's eyes are glowing red not blue...

Darn it can't vote....
I was gonna say hit may, but..... You decided on Earthquake.

Earthquake!
The Brelooms move in for another attack.
"Ugh... Espeon, Earthquake!" Espeon roars and stamps its foot. The two Brelooms and May stumble, and you hear a loud crashing noise from behind you. Then all of a sudden, a ball rolls to your feet as you stand up, now able to move again. It glows bright red... it's the Red Orb?? You pick it up, and the figure behind you finally becomes visible.

This girl and her Dusclops also have glowing eyes.
"Give me... the Red Orb..." she mumbles, as Dusclops advances on you. You back away to the side, trying to watch the Breloom and Dusclops at the same time. You recognise the girl as Phoebe, a member of the Elite Four. You... are in very big trouble now. Phoebe throws a device to the ground, and a hologram appears.

"So we meet again, whelp." says Archie, the leader of Team Aqua.
"Archie! What'd you do to Phoebe and May?"
"Well to be fair it wasn't exactly me. This Elite Four girl attacked the transport group that was taking the Red Orb to base after we stole it from Slateport. It wasn't easy subduing her either - it took pretty much every Pokemon the group had to slow her down. But they had a secret weapon - the Red Orb. The orbs have the power to possess anyone who stays close to it for too long. And lo and behold, as Phoebe tried to escape with the orb, we had ourselves a brainwashed soldier. She ran into your friend May, shortly after, and turned her into number #2."
"But why?"
"It doesn't sem to matter if I tell you, since you won't be able to tell anyone... Team Aqua's grand plan will be coming to fruition shortly. And when that time comes, there are gonna be a lot of people who oppose us. Team Magma, the police, the Gym Leaders and probably even the Elite Four. So we're building an army of disciplined unquestioning trainers. And guess what? You're recruit number 3! Now give us back the Red Orb, like a good little kid..."
You back away, clutching the Red Orb, as the Pokemon, May and Phoebe advance, beginning to surround you. Dusclops begins a Disable attack and your body begins to freeze up again. What will you do?

Let us call upon the powers of the Red Orb and send fire to their bodies!

Oh wait it doesn't do that.

In that case Teleport, it's the only one that can't be easily stopped by a Disable.

Um.....I say Run just because I feel like it.
Even though I know we can't move.

Send everybody out and fight!

I've actually been reading this since the beginning, but I decided to register to join in. :)

Take to the skies on Swellow!
Dusclops may stop Teleport with Disable and if we run we will just freeze up again. If we fight Phoebe could just send out all her Pokemon and destroy us. Darn if only there was a smash the Red Orb on a rock option.

Take to the skies on Swellow! I just hope Swellow can carry our weight.

Take to the Skies with Swellow!
You realise you have to take the Red Orb and go. You return Espeon and send out Swellow instead. You grab Swellow's claw, and it takes off, with some difficulty. Despite not being the strongest Pokemon around, it takes you up to above the treetops. A very good thing you evolved it already...
May and Phoebe frown. Apparently neither one has any Pokemon that can fly. Archie smiles.
"Target practice." May and Phoebe release their entire Pokemon squads.

The Pokemon all fire their attacks up to the sky. Swellow swerves left and right, avoding being hit while getting higher. You notice Phoebe and May clutching their heads – the brainwashing must be wearing off as you take the Red Orb away! Swellow continues dodging the attacks. Archie isn't smiling any more.
"Go!" he yells, as Phoebe and May collapse. The Pokemon fire one last ditch-effort attack at the sky. And boy is it a strong one. You can dodge either way, but who knows what'll happen to you after that? Which way will you go? After that, it's all up to fate…
