approx 1 in 76 or 1.30% or 3.5 million people in USA

^ that is the rate, in the USA of course. So 1 in 3 was horrifically incorrect, but hey we're human, we all make mistakes ;D

Thanks for your input everyone!
Guess I'm still the one of the few color blind PC person ;D

Now I understand why my mom calls me special 8D

I'm reeeeaaaaaaaaalllllyyyyyy not sure(or sure.) that I'm not color blind. Sometimes I would surprise myself to find weird color things. I'm pretty shy when approaching strangers so I never ask "What's the color of that [thing]". But I'm pretty sure now that I'm seeing the right colors.

1 out of 3 men in the world are colourblind
1 out of 10 women in the world are colourblind

Luckily, I'm not one of those statistics :D
That figure should theoretically be 1 in 4 males, and 1 in 8 females. Even then, it only applies to people who have inhereted the relevant gene for colour blindness, so the actual figure across the whole population is much lower for both genders (think more like 1 in 400 males, and 1 in 800 females).

There's a reason for females being less likely to inherit a condition such as colour blindness, and I know it, but it's one of those tedious to explain things in life...

... And no, I'm not colour blind.

Well well...guess who's there posting above me. Younger brother still lurking around at PC? =P

I'm not color blind I beleive, never had trouble recognizing trouble except maybe 4-5 times in total.

I'm glad I'm not colorblind. I love looking at things around me. I love looking at the scenery especially in spring and fall. ^_^

But seriously, It's unfortunate for the colorblind people. They miss out on a lot of beautiful scenes. Maybe one day they will come up with a cure for colorblindness. Who knows?

Fortunately, I'm not colourblind. Though I know several people who have the same deficiency. I learn a lot from both talking and working with them when it comes to experimenting with colours.

No, I'm not colourblind but I have a friend who can't tell the difference between purple and blue.
