What do you get when you mix a friend who knows everything about pokemon and my solo run? A deleted game.

So, I'll start again...

SoulSilver will be up first. Here's the progress after getting two badges:

Spoiler:

• Imported Dratini Egg from Platinum, got Totodile as future HM Slave
• Hatched egg, named Dratini Seraph. Relaxed nature. Meh, maybe I could take another hit or two because of this. Dragon Dance will make the -Speed aspect negligible.
• Onwards to Violet City. Leer + Wrap is the best damage I've got.
• Battled all the trainers in Sprout Tower, grinded a bit up to Lv 11 for Twister (STAB!)
• Beat the sage at the top of Sprout Tower, no problems. Twister spamall day.
• Falkner LOVES Twister! Except when it kills him. Paralyzed Pidgeotto, used Wrap to loop him into using Roost. Paraflinch
  with Twister.
• Murder of innocents in the route below. Dragon Rage is learned over Leer. GG midgame.
• Save the Slowpokes! Spam Twister and Dragon Rage!
• Leer + U-turn from Scyther is deadly, and has a very good chance of one-shotting me. I go fight my rival and train in other places. I learn Slam over Wrap.
• A couple levels and using Thunder Wave makes all the difference. Paralyzed Scyther on Turn 1, then went to town with ParaFlinch. It gets U-turn off, but it used Focus Energy instead of Leer first turn... for some reason. Dragon Rage lets me clean house with Metapod/Kakuna, and Scyther gets Para'd + Dragon Raged to death.

Alright, I'm starting with Fire Red

Fire Red Update 1:

-Chose Squirtle, meaning my rival, appropriately named LIL GIT, chose Bulbasaur.

-Caught Swinub and grinded to level 10

-Reached the entrance of Viridian Forest

-Edit: Reached Pewter City and beat Brock. He was incredibly easy, thanks to Pork's part ice typing (and his pokes were all part ground too)

-Reached level 15

-Edit: After about fifty zubats, I reached Cerulian City. Misty was a pain, I had to grind to level 25 just to survive a water pulse from that starmie (grinding to about half an hour or more...). I somehow managed to beat her in the end and got water pulse...pointless...

-Grinded to level 28

Hey I just noticed a little problem with your sign up, you have 2 games listed for Unova when only one is required for an ultimate challenge. Now by all means you can do the challenge on both games, but only one of them will be counted for your ultimate challenge and the other will only be counted as a single challenge.

Yup played through the whole game pretty fast, finishing with a level 89 Zackhary :D


-Used A-Starter to hack beedrill as a starting pokemon
-Beat Brock after enormous amount of grinding
-Misty was a piece of cake with Twineedle
-Lt. Surge was beaten with Twineedle and Brick Break
-Erika beat way too easily with Aerial Ace
-Koga was beaten with Substitute and a whole bunch of Aerial Aces
-Sabrina went down to Twineedle
-Blaine was the hardest after Brock and took almost all Substitutes and 6 X Attacks
-Giovanni's Ground type pokemon were beaten with Brick Breaks And 4 X Attacks
-KAZ (Rival) after Giovanni fell to Substitutes and X Attacks
-Lorelei's pokemon died all to a couple of Brick Breaks
-Bruno's Onix' died to Brick Breaks and others due to Aerial Aces
-Agatha's Gengars weren't any match at all with Aerial Ace and X Attacks
-Lances dragons died all to Aerial aces with 4 X Attacks and Dragonite died due to a critical hit
-KAZ' Pidgeot was the most trouble, destroying my Substitute with one Aerial Ace. Luckily he used Sand-Attack randomly on my Substitute and i got a few X Attacks and Double Teams up. After the Pidgeot, he sent out his Rhydon which tried Rock Tombing me but didn't hit most of the time, thanks to my Double Team. X Attacke'd all the way up with 4 more Double Teams and wrecked every single pokemon left on his team. His Charizard broke my Substitute, but died to my Aerial Ace.

That was my 1st Gen portion of this challenge, NEXT Crystal :)

That's fine! I just felt like doing both games for fun. I'll go ahead and say Black 2 will be my run for the Ultimate Challenge, and Black 1 will be a Single Challenge.

Small progress update for defeating Whitney and all the stuff between.

• Caught some Farfetch'd in the forest, got the Charcoal.
• I bought Fire Blast at Goldenrod City and after pondering it, replaced Slam. I thought about Thunder, but Dragon/Fire coverage is too good.
• Took out the trainers in Goldenrod Gym, no big deal.
• Whitney's Clefairy gets burnt by Fire Blast (lucky!) and then dies to Twister spam after it gets healed with a Super Potion. Miltank uses Attract (why couldn't Seraph have been a girl?!), and then I paralyze it... but it has a Lum Berry. Bah. I break through the attract a second time and this time the paralysis sticks. Get off a Dragon Rage (it's a 2HKO) and then heal, as Stomp hurts. Get immobilized, Milk Drink happens... with a bit of luck though (and a parahax), I manage to get off two Dragon Rages before it can heal. Victory!

-Gave a cop hanging around Saffron some tea. Not sure why he couldn't go get his own but oh well.

-Beat Erica (Ericia? Ercia? Someone help me...). This one was a lot harder. Kept using stun spore and I ran out of paralyse heals. Luckily I didn't get fully paralysed.

Time to post my update ^^

I did a lot of progress with sceptile :) I went through Mt. Moon without any major problems .. Than I went to those black belts and thought grovyle mega kick and mega punch (why are those two moves normal type? o.o ) than I went to Cerulean city and defeated my rival again. I cleared the nugget bridge and the trainers around Bill's house. I defeated Misty and the other trainers in gym with ease using only absorb. I went towards the next city and cleared SS Anne and got cut. I defeated Lt. Surge using mega punch. I went through Rock Tunnel and I came to Lavender town. I defeated my rival again and I went to take on Erika and won. I cleared that fighting dojo and I cleared Team Rocket building. I went back to Lavender town and cleared the tower and saved that marowak and sent it to afterlife. I saved that old man and got Pokeflute. I ll continue later on.
