I have better things to spend my money on. Pokemon remakes are not on my list of things I must own by age 20 >:(

However, the D.Gray-Man box set is. Come ooooon Tuesday *^*
 
That's why you import it at half price or download it if you're desperate. But I agree there are other things I'm saving up for, even though I've already devised a financial plan for age 24 and up. Gotta get outta uni first. D:

Could get a part-time job?
 
I am grateful that I have a full-time job. <3 I get to spend my hard earned money on anything I want and need. I don't need my parents for everything. That is the great part of having a job. :3 I can be independent and stuff like that. Well you will get there. Just two more years. Or...how old you have to be to work in the UK? Hopefully it is the same age in the US.

You have to be 16. Some jobs are still not available to you but as soon as you turn 18 you can start working.

The reason I want a job is because I want to be independent with my own money. I know I can take care of my money and use it wisely because my parents make me practice at my age.
 
Oh okay. Yeah it is the same here in the US. You have to be sixteen to have a job, but the jobs are limited. When you turn 18 though, you will have more opportunity.

Wow that is very good reason to want a job. Some people don't realize what it is like to not have a job. Well there are layoffs, but that is under their control. It isn't their fault. It is the companies' fault. At least they are working to get another job or something. You heard people who hate their job and they don't want to be there. With the economy, people better be grateful. I know I am. And I bet there are so many who are willing to take that person spot. Yeah go ahead hate your job, you won't have it for long. And someone will take your place in a instant.

Well you don't have too much time to wait. You got two years. ^^ Hopefully the economy will be better by then.

I didn't get a job until I was 18 and out of high school.
Well a real job with like printed paychecks and stuff. lol
I worked with my uncle for a while when I was 17 and still in high school, but that wasn't the same. xD
 
I absolutely hated my first job (I think I was 16 at the time). I worked at a restaurant. I only had a stupid two-hour shift Monday-Friday, one of the managers would refuse to train me in other areas (even though they were supposed to), and there were just other problems I had with it. Luckily, I actually like the job I have right now.
 
My first job was working at a movie theatre, I started as a simple Usher cleaning up the auditoriums, but I quickly got trained in the concession stand. I would have been trained in the box office, but I applied for a management position and they somehow chose me. They bumped me up to Associate status and sent me to work up in the projection booth. It was great! unfortunately then college time came, I left and missed the fun of building movies all during. I got an associate manager position at another theatre quickly after college was done and had that until a few years ago before I got laid off. I now work as an assistant baker.
 
First job I had was babysitting. I babysat some kids whose parents were friends with mine. I got 20 dollars are day for that.

Now I work with my parents in a cafe, which is pretty good. It does get a bit hectic from time to time, and there are some pretty stupid people out there who do try to rip you off, but well, sadly that's part of life. :(
 
My first job was.. not having a job? o_o;

Yeah, never had a job. I might apply for one soon.
 
I've never had a job and I don't really want one.

My 2009 is practically ruined because I was laid off at my job. I already complained about it. And I can't get another job right now because the stupid unemployment office people told us not to get a job that pays less than the one we had.

So, where am I going to find another job that pays $11.50 an hour?!!

I'm still bitter about this. I'm sorry.

Why shouldn't you be? I mean these people ripped you off and now you can't get another job that pays like the old one ><
