Uh, yes you can...although tbh I doubt Facebook even knows PC exists so I don't really see why we would need to hide from it, lol.

They have to be sufficiently unique words. Using a theme that's meant to copy Facebook and calling it Pokebook would be enough to violate IP laws.

They've updated the terms of service to disallow the imitated use of the work book.

While PC is small and would probably get away happily with a cease and desist, I don't think the copyright attention would do us any favours with the amount of derivative content of every form on this forum. It was Pokebook until I suggested otherwise. :P

I lol'd at the irony of this and then cried a little at how true it is. :P I don't mind the idea, but the implementation is not great at this stage. A lot of Facebook's ideas are like that. I'm not part of the "oh my god, it's different - kill it" crowd.

OMG! Facebook administrators are getting so awkwardly stupid. I mean, seriously. Copyrighting a word? 0__0
But the page Archer linked to kinda says they're seeking to copyright the word, so could you guys at least keep it at 'Pokebook' for now, cause I doubt they're gonna get copyrights on a word. Unless they already have, in which case I would like to officially announce that some members of the human race have simultaneously gone crazy. We might be on the verge of a plague... >_>

McDonald's complained when Quality Inn wanted to call a new hotel chain, "McSleep," and actually won a court case against them.

Some people take names very seriously.
 
Why in the world would they want to use McSleep? I'm glad McDonald's sued them because that name is terrible, lol.
 
Wtf? You serious? My take on the human race has just hit rock-bottom. I shall return to my home planet with this news, there is no way in hell we're invading you people now -____-
 
LOL They eventually settled on just "Sleep Inn". Which in retrospect was probably a better choice for all parties involved.

Though the idea of a restaurant vs. hotel rap battle intrigues me. I must know more.
 
The original supporter DCC was better. This one is kinda... not that exciting imo. :(
 
It was much more spammy, I was much more a noob. :) Bad times.
 
IT WAS TIGHT. Being tight is more important than adult conversation tbh.
