I have not taken a crack at pokemon for almost half a year now. Well, as always, I got back in because of a new game. Anyway, the team I am building is for offline purposes only. No shoddy. Which means no rotom or skymin junk which was running rampant in shoddy when Platinum came out.

    Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Jolly EV: 252 Atk, 252 Speed, 4 HP
    {Pressure}
    ----
    Earthquake
    Rock Slide
    Taunt
    Stealth Rock

Aerodactyl ends up being a suicidal lead pretty much. It's main purpose is to set-up stealth rock. Taunt is there to prevent certain leads from setting up as well. Earthquake/Rock Slide are for attacks for when it needs it. More than likely it will end up dying quickly.

    Scizor @ Life Orb
Adamant EV: 252 Atk, 252 HP, 1 SP. Def
    {Technician}
    ----
    Bug Bite
    Bullet Punch
    Sword Dance
    Brick Break

This is my late game sweeper set-up. Probably a bad idea to rely on this for a sweeper considering it's speed, but hopefully late game pokemon are either crippled through thunder wave, tricked with choice band or weakened enough for scizor to finish them off.

    Suicune @ Leftovers
Bold EV: 252 Def, 252 HP, 1 Speed
    ----
    Whirlwind
    Calm Mind
    Ice Beam
    Surf

The tank of my team. I felt I had no real defence agaisnt pokemon like Latias, Dragonite, or other pokemon that might start setting up. Whirlwind is there to try to get more pokemon with stealth rock out, or if Suicune cannot handle them (vaporeon).

    Jolteon @ Leftovers
Timid EV: 252 Speed, 252 HP, 1 Sp Atk
    ----
    Thunderbolt
    Shadow Ball
    Thunder Wave
    Substitute

Jolteon will likely cause a lot of switches. Thunder Wave gives me that chance to cripple switch ins. It also helps to counter a few other non-scarfed pokemon like gengar, or gyarados.

    Azelf @ Choice Band
Jolly EV: 252 Atk, 252 Speed, 4 HP
    ----
    Fire Punch
    U-Turn
    Trick
    Zen Headbutt

Team was lacking in physical prowess without needing to set-up, so Azelf fills that spot. Trick is used to cripple any tank pokemon I come across. U-turn can be used to scout out pokemon. Fire Punch is needed for steel types. Zen Headbutt is simply for STAB.

    Infernape @ Life Orb
    Naive EV: ???
    ----
    Close Combat
    Flamethrower
    Grass Knot
    Nasty Plot

I forgot the EV spread for the typical MixApe, and Smogon database is not working for me for some reason. Considering I felt like having Scizor be a late game sweeper, and having Azelf limited to simply choice band left me with a power problem. Hopefully, infernape gains some additional coverage I need while still having the power to take them out.

    Scizor @ Life Orb
Adamant EV: 252 Atk, 32 HP, 224 Speed
    {Technician}
    ----
    Bug Bite
    Bullet Punch
    Sword Dance
    Brick Break

SD Scizor needs to be ALOT faster.

    Suicune @ Leftovers
Bold EV: 252 Def, 252 HP, 1 Speed
    ----
    Rest
    Calm Mind
    Ice Beam
    Surf

Suicune with no Rest is horrible.

    ----
    Thunderbolt
    Wish
    Heal Bell
    Protect

Use support jolt plz. Helps keep your team alive.

    Azelf @ Choice Band
Jolly EV: 252 Atk, 252 Speed, 4 HP
    ----

    Pursuit bait!

    ok

    Not feeling this much tbh.

Anything with fighting moves shreds you to bits, I.e Lucario. Azelf, Aero (lol aero), Jolt and Suicune just seem like dead weight. Nothing beats foe SD Scizor nor beats DD Bibari Tyranitar either. Latias can pick apart your team with ease since Scizor is KO'd if it switches into Draco, Surf, T-Bolt or as of late HP Fire.

Tl;dr you need a fighting resist BADLY (luckily most of then double as Scizor counters), something to beat Latias more reliably and definitely a more reliable Tyranitar check.

The team also has little synergy and doesn't really open up sweeps. See

    → Lures
A lure is basically a Pokémon that preys on what your opponent expects but does something different to catch them off guard, just as the name says to "lure" them in. What would normally be a great switch in turns into an awful one. Lures are often used on offensive teams to remove threats for other Pokémon on the team to possibly open up a sweep. An example of a lure would be an offensive Suicune with Calm Mind/Surf/Hidden power Electric/Ice Beam with a Life Orb. Normal switch ins to Suicune are often things like Zapdos, Gyarados, Celebi, Vaporeon etc. expecting a defensive normally less offensively threatening set and this Suicune can potentially OHKO all of them. For example if you lure in Zapdos with this set and OHKO it with a Calm Mind Life Orb'd Ice Beam then your Scizor will have a much easier time posing a threat to the opponents team with its primary counter out of the way. Another example of a lure would be a Toxic and Substitute Heatran to "lure" in its normal counters of bulky waters to cripple them from behind a Substitute with Toxic. For example once a Vaporeon is poisoned things like Gyarados are free to rampage alot easier with its counter crippled.

Spikes stacking also hurts this team extremely badly.

So yeah this needs a major revamp, i hope that helped though. ^^

Always nice I can rely upon PC to get help when need be. You always were the person who was most complete in rates ^_^ And yeah, this helps me realize how out of it I have been xD Bibari Dragon Dance Tyranitar is new to me. Have to look around a bit. I might as well drop this whole team. It's easier to start over than to fix something partially broken, imo. I will certainly look into that "lure" idea. It has always bothered me to have predictable sets. Just as bad as not even having properly trained pokemon. Expect some new original ideas next time.

Also, the one thing that does not make any sense is this:

    Suicune @ Leftovers
Bold EV: 252 Def, 252 HP, 4 Speed
    ----
    Rest
    Calm Mind
    Ice Beam
    Surf

Why in the world would I want to put Rest on Suicune with no way to get it out of sleep? I think you wanted to add lum berry, or sleep talk in there somewhere too.

    lock please.

Hence why i added Heal Bell on Jolt to help with Rest abusing lol. Anyways you want rest otherwise you lose to Toxic Spikes, Toxic and anything that hits reasonably hard and Suicune is dead weight without the chance to heal itself, Rest also lets you beat Blissey and other special walls that is something that should never be passed up. On offensive cune its understandable but defensive cune ALWAYS needs Rest.

    Ok, closed on request.
