Yeah at least it's not a forced name and you can name him so I don't mind too much. =D Silver/??? for me! I can kinda see why...but then again the names here also contain the words Gold and Silver in them! Silly translators. That said I'm generally liking the translation.

To be fair though, we've known he'd be Passerby Boy thanks to pre-release pics for many months now. ;P And the more important thing - he acts like he did in GSC, maybe even a touch more mean arguably.

As for the rival thing in the Japanese game he is all like "I'm so bad, look at my TC" and on the English one he is like "Oh Noes you saw my tc my life is ruined i fail so hard."...yeah Japanese was better...

...But we still got his saying "Why So Serious" in the TR Radio Tower fight with him...huh? huh? Awesomeness...Dubbers were watching Batman while dubbing the game haha
 
I think it really sucks how you can't buy coins in the game corner ._.||

Anyone else think the GTS is implemented horribly?

I don't understand why they limit the number of people you can trade with and that they don't even let you switch the 3-7 people available to trade with. It's stupid, if I want a vulpix, I either have to trade an Entei, Shaymin, or Celebi. It's like this for almost any trade. I want to scroll through the options and pick one that isn't ridiculous.
 
Merged complaint on the GTS here. Although, I do agree some trade offers in the GTS seem to be ridiculous. It still remains the same with HG/SS too. However, I rarely go to that place, much less take use of it. :\ As for the limit, I didn't even know about that. O_o;

I guess that proves how much attention I pay to the GTS.

You are still able to battle the Kimono Girls and their Eeveelutions though, just not as early. After defeating Clair, you get to challenge the five Kimono Girls. Once defeated, they'll give you a bell to summon either Lugia or Ho-Oh depending on the version you have.

I guess thats true, but you'd need to get someones phone number who likes to rematch a lot and pays out a good amount of money and I haven't found anyone like that yet. Any recommendations?

Actually, I prefer it like that.

I had 2.5bil+ in Pokemon Leaf Green before Geovanni. It's a bit abused to be able to rebattle trainers all of the time and gain a crapload of cash from it.

Mt. Moon isn't in Johto fool it's in Kanto lol

Its the tunnel path that connects Pewter and Cerulean...you know with the dancing Clefairy...

Hey this forum ate my post. =(

Anyways, it's the same as it was in GSC actually, and maybe part of keeping it the same unlike basically all of the other small places in GSC might be due to the dancing-clefairy part... after all in D/P/Pt they did mention the clefairy-dancing event/place off-handedly.

Anyways, this is a complaint, so merged with the complaints thread.
 
The only complaint about the remake of HG/SS is that the Wild pokemon are low levels. usually by the 3rd gym you get pokemon that are level 16 to 20 in the fields but they show up between 8 and 12? WOW and Ilex forest should have trainers.

So yeah thats what stinks about this remake so far.
 
One thing that's rather annoying me is surfing. I can't move five tiles without running into at least 3 Tentacool. Seriously. The encounter rate is ridiculous.

Aside from that... I do miss the Pokétch... it was so much more useful than the Pokégear. And the VS. Seeker was much better than the phone system.

One other thing, is that on some overworld sprites, the Pokémon following you seems like it's floating.

All of that aside, I love the games.
