Emerald hack: [COMPLETED] Digimon Emerald Project

Ehh, not really. It's difficult to playtest because every time you edit the rom, DeSmuMe (DS emulator) complains about it being modified and won't let you open any of your save states. So until I figure out a fix to that I'm kind of at a loss.

Does Citrus not work for testing? I've tried using DesMuMe for about a decade now and it never gives me the results i want
 
So I think I discovered a softlock...? When I reached Mauville, I went exploring instead of actually doing the gym, and when I went north i found you'd replaced the rocks there with the rock smash TM? So I grabbed it, and went on a *reeeeally* long walk through multiple areas to reach Fallarbor before I remembered that i hadn't gone to grab the exp share yet, so I hopped down the one-way path to Rustboro from Meteor Falls... and had no way to return, as Briney was still sunbathing on the beach at Slateport... I had to find a working walk-through-walls cheat to get back (which now refuses to turn off).

Otherwise I'm having a blast tho lmao

Welp, it was a fun journey. I'm glad I picked this game up and saw it through to the end this time. Probably my favorite romhack of all time.

I feel bad for using Millennium but to be fair. I put in the hard work to evolve him without the help of the exp share and there is just something so fun about steamrolling everyone with an overpowered monstrosity on your team. Hahah
Either way. I didn't need his help til the champion fight. Which was.... Wow!

I feel like I've missed it but where is the Flamethrower TM? Checked a few places that I could think of with no luck. Same with Ice Beam. No luck finding that one yet either. Though I'm at the E4 so if they're further ahead, that's fine. I have a sneaking suspicion that they aren't though.

Congratulations on beating Digimon Emerald Project! Awesome team btw. I am honoured to hear this is your favourite romhack of all time. You've been a superfan since the beginning and it's great to have a Digimon fan giving me support since the first steps of my journey. I'm semi-retiring from romhacking for the time being but maybe I'll get to Digimon Platinum at some point in the future. Thanks again for playing!

Anyways,
It was a blast. Will definitely be doing another playthrough at some point and won't be using Millennium hahah xD

Not many game glitches on my end as well by the way except for one that I noticed that the max repel wasn't working in one of the routes near mauville. (I think the land bridge area) but it also fixed itself after I saved and reset
So no harm done

Well done on it being playable and finished
Most big romhacks ive played get finished and have some mean bugs, especially in the beginning of development. Considering this has only been out since early spring is impressive.
(At least on my end bug/glitch-wise!) xD

And understandable. I tried romhacking myself and was immediately humbled. So I can see why you'd be done for awhile or altogether.
If you do make DIGIMON PLATINUM

First off, thanks for all the work you put in there! As a huge digimon fan I absolutely love this version and it belongs to my top 3 for sure.

Unfortunately I got an issue. Even after beating last gym I'm missing Waterfall. Did I miss out on anything or how am I supposed to get it? If its a glitch, do you have a cheat code to get it regardless?

Thanks for the inquiry! See the Pokeball sitting next to Juan (8th Gym Leader)? That's Waterfall.
 
Hi, any advice you can give me? I cant play it on VBA emulator, becauso it frezze almost every one minute. Is there any other option?

That happened to me before when I was playing with an old version of VBA. Check to see if you have version 1.8.8 of VBA.
 
One day, I truly hope someone goes all in and makes a Digimon hack that brings mechanics over as well.
 
Hi Guzeinbuick, both this and Nova Red are incredible work. I'm trying my hand at making a fan game using Pokemon Essentials, mostly just for fun - is it possible to use the set of sprites you've used for this game?

Apologies if it's poor form to make a request like that. I'm using sprites from the WonderSwan games for now. They have their own charm but it doesn't quite mix well with the pokemon aesthetic, these are much more fitting. Using WS sprites also kind of limits my digimon roster.
