    Like the title says, have any of you completed the national or regional Pokedex in any or even all of your Pokemon games?
    Also do you have any tips for completing it?

    I haven't completed mine yet as I haven't got to the Champion, Lance, in my HeartGold. But I'm determined to do it as I haven't completed mine yet in any of my games. My guess is though that it will take me quite a long time to do.

    Recently I got the National Pokedex, so I'm catching Pokemon that I see and haven't got yet. However I still think I've got a long way to go as it say's that I've only caught about 50.

    EDIT: If you want you can also say how far off you are, or which Pokemon you need.

    Yeah, I've completed it before, as has a good friend of mine irl, we helped each other.

    I got the game at the release date (March 26) and it's amazing how far I've already gotten!^^ 290-something pokemon in the national section!^^ I guess I can do this thing!^^

    Off-Topic: Yay!^^ Once I'm done with the national pokedex, I only have to do the 100-streak at the battle tower till the Black card!^^

    I've never completed the pokedex in any game ever. The closest I ever came was 149 pokemon in my old Yellow version (short by one Venomoth)

    I completed the Pokédex in Pokémon Red (and Blue on a sped-up emulator the other month) but I abused the Missingno glitch for that. XD;

    But more impressively, in December I completed the Pokédex in Diamond. :> It's not a living Pokédex, so I don't own everything but a lot of friends were really awesome and traded me rare/event legendaries that I had no way of getting otherwise.

    Diamond's took a long time. :/ I know I spent about two weeks solid on it before I finally completed it, and that was after I'd done about half of first gen in previous years. ><; The swarming Pokémon were the worst but the GTS was a godsend for the Pokémon that I'd seen before but were hard to catch. xD;

    I usually complete it on all my games, as it gives me something else to do. Like a side quest. Plus the prof. usually gives you something for doing it. As for tips, making a thread of stuff your looking for for your pokedex, and just see it in a trade or battle, but dont actually trade it, since it takes longer to trade back too..

    -For Pokemon Diamond (REGIONAL DEX), I just battled all of the trainers (mostly for the exp. :P) and just started looking in the grass for useful Pokemon. Before i knew it, all i needed was a Burmy. It took me a LONG time to get the burmy from the trees.

    -For Soul Silver (REGIONAL), I basically did the same thing. The only difference was that i was missing some Pokemon before completing it, so i used my sis' DS to trade the missing pokemon from Diamond to Soul Silver.

    Search Google for "Pokemon Marriland" for a great Pokemon website. The website's HG/SS pokedex includes the various forms of pokemon, the stats (base) with lowest and highest comparisons, where to get the Pokemon, and much, much more. It really helped me. :)

    Hope this helped. ^_^

    Yeah, I've realised now that Marriland is easier to use for the Pokedex than Serebii. Then again, I recently got the Pokedex guide book for the game which helps as it tells you where to get it in all of the 4th Gen games, which will help me a lot in the future.
    I reckon that I might complete it one day, as its been my goal for ages now.
    But yeah the guide is better than what people say as even though you can get it on the Internet (for me) it always feels easier to use a book, as you can just flick through it. The Internet is really useful though, as there was a gap between Johto and getting the guide for me, and I agree that Marriland is the best site to use for a Pokedex.

    i am working on completing my pokedex in soulsilver. in all of my other games i have never completed it.

    I caught every pokemon on Blue, and I've seen every pokemon on Silver, Sapphire, and Platinum. I've seen all 493 on Platinum National Dex wise, and I hope to try to complete the dex one day.

    I've completed the regional 'dex in Diamond once....

    and I'm going for a "uniquely completed pokedex" in LeafGreen and Emerald, i.e. I can't trade, can't get events, don't hack, so I just obtain everything I can get in-game, without interacting with anything else xD

    I've never legitmately completed any of my Pokedexes, but I'm close in Yellow, and I plan to do it in HG since its pretty possible XD

    Hmphh Ok.

    Ruby:I've completed my regional dex but was never near the National.
    Diamond:National was completed one week after Regional (Trade a evolution mostly)
    Platinum:Regional only took a week.
    SoulSilver:Haven't yet taken time for Regional at it.

    P.S:And I mean caught.

    I only finished the pokedex in Red. In silver I think I only miss a few pokémons, but I'm sure I didn't complete it.

    I completed the National Dex, it took me a pretty long time though. I had a friend with Diamond so we'd trade over version exclusives and we'd get some Pokémon from our GBA games and import them then breed them.
    I got the event Pokemon from various people.

    I'd say find someone with a different version of the game than you that's reliable I guess. It worked for me.

    I'm working on the Regional Dex for SoulSilver right now, and I'm only missing the fossil pokemon. Once I finish that, I will go for the National. Overall, I have about 370 right now. It's tough, and I can't imagine getting all of those evolutions without speeding up the process a bit.

    I've never completed any of my Pokedexes because I usually quit playing after a while. xD
