Firstly i'm not sure whether this should go here so if not could some kindly mod please move it ^^

Do you guys think you should be able to control your pokémon while flying? It would be a decent way of finding wild pokémon. I picture a sort of mix of the surf feature for pokémon B/W and the flying feature of pokémon ranger guardian signs (landing on town "spots") What do you think? ^^

I don't like the idea really. It'd take way too long to get anywhere since most people will cover the most ground by using Fly. I doubt you need another way to find wild Pokémon anyway, given the B/W encounter rates.

Mhm, since it can apply to more than Black and White (aka future games), it belongs in Pokemon Gaming Central, I'll move it there for you. :3

Imo, you could kinda mix it up there. Like have normal flying as an option or this advanced flying method. I think it'd be awesome though to be able to do that. Mainly cause I just wanna explore the skyyyy.

I have always wanted this, along with Sky Routes. I mean, obviously it would get annoying, since Fly is supposed to be a means of transporting to other towns, without having to encounter wild Pokemon, so I'm thinking that they would have to be short and there would only be a few of them.

It sounds good, but I'd get lost, knowing me.

So... It's a no, from me.

I don't really like that idea, it just seems weird to me. Let's keep things like that to surfing.

Not if there are arrows pointing to which ever place you want to go to.

Anyways. I would 100% support this idea, I would love to fly to a certain route other than going to the city and then going to that route. That feature would be great,

I would support this idea. It would be so much easier to get to certain places, like the routes that you have to go through a crap load of well, crap to get through would be a lot easier. But on the other hand if it could be used to fly over obstacles like Boulders/Trees/Rock Climbing/Water/Waterfalls, then it would make the HM's obsolete.

Well if it's anything like the Starflight Express in Dragon Quest IX, I could see it working, with an overworld map and such. Maybe if the feature was optional I'd like it.

I think a controllable Fly feature would be awesome! They could make it like a mirror of the main region, where you're able to fly around, find high-flying wild Pokemon, battle other trainers who are flying, and in the Sky Route, it would be a perfect place to find legendary Pokemon like Rayquaza, the Eon Duo, and the Kami Trio.

As much as the controllable fly feature is cool, I don't think I'd warm up to the idea because it'd be just like walking.

I...would get lost if I had to fly myself from place to place. :[

I agree with this. I think retaining the basic form of it as it's always been and then having that extra option of 'exploring' the skies would be great. Perhaps only certain places would allow this feature? It'd definitely be a pain to have it constantly on and not be able to just move from one place to another by just using the basic Fly though, so having two options would be best if anything.

But being able to explore with Fly would lead you to be able to go into other places without being there before, right?

    If yes,so yeah!

I had this idea when i played ranger signs, It would be truely awsome but it might take a little to long to animate all the individual pokemon that could possibly learn it especially Golurk my fav flier :3. So it probably wont happen.

I...would get lost if I had to fly myself from place to place. :[

It could be like guardian signs where you have a map on the bottom screen i don't think that would be a problem anyway.

... But the point of the move Fly is to get from one place to another instantly. If you had to go through a whole route in the air, wouldn't that... defeat the purpose entirely? Fly exists for convenience, and this would make it just as inconvenient as walking.

It'd work best if it were just a special location or something, kind of like the Reverse World in Plat.

Here's what I think would work best to not remove from the convenience: You use Fly to enter the Sky Route. While in the Sky Route you can Fly around, fight trainers, catch Pokemon, etc. And, at any time at your own will, you may exit the Sky Route to any town you have visited before. You will also only be able to enter areas of the Sky Route over areas you have already been to.

IMO it would be cool if you chose where you wanted to head to like normal, and then you could either choose the Classic Fly, or start a Mini-game where you can move left and right and try to dodge objects, encounter PKMN, and get items while flying through the clouds on your PKMN.

YES! Not more so travel, but I think the next game should include mini-games, like Pokemon Stadium, and one of them could be to fly your pokemon against others, it's off-topic, but just thought. :)
