Well that break certainly lasted longer than a week. I was originally planning on coming back after my Spring Break, but after it ended I went back to being super busy and figured I'd resume posting when I graduated. Then I started an internship on Jun. 2, and the cycle repeated. I have been drawing during that time, not as much as I should be, but according to my logs I've practiced 5 out of 14 days in June so far, which is a far higher percentage compared to April (5 out of 30 days) or May (7 out of 31 days). I don't think my skills have regressed much, but I haven't been improving much either in my opinion, I suppose I'll just have to wake up earlier and start drawing everyday again to get back on track. Regardless, here's what I've made since my last update:
This one was finished on Apr. 7 and it's a colorized / updated version of my original "Unstoppable Force VS Immovable Object" drawing:
This one was finished on May. 30, and it's supposed to be a street very loosely based on Venice / Italy:
This one was finished on May. 31, and it's supposed to be of some trees in a snowy landscape. It also happens to be my favorite of the lot, I think it turned quite nice despite the perspective being off, and I got some practice with the dry brush tool in Krita:
And finally this one was finished on Jun. 8, it's loosely based on a hospital I used to live very close to. The real building has umbrella tables instead of trees, but I couldn't figure out how to stack them correctly so I just did something easier.
I know I've said this multiple times previously, but I'm finally going to actually sit down and force myself to draw a character (probably a fan art) within the next week. I'm still very nervous about making a Sonic OC Do-Not-Steal tier product, but I feel like I'm starting to get a little too comfortable with landscapes and want to challenge myself to learn and execute some anatomy, which I hardly know anything about.
