6th Gen Corocoro (release for July) and E3 Speculation and Discussion thread

Screenshot showcasing the beginning of the game, when you first pick your starter. Looks great, I love what they did to refurbish it, and yet keep some similarities from the original RSE! All this new information is making me so hyped, gah ;__; What do you guys think of the releases from E3 so far?

So much nostalgia, it looks similar to RSE's selection scene. Wait for me Treeko!

To be fair, we did find Professor Birch without his bag being attacked by a Poochyena, so I don't think it's as much nostalgia as the fact that the bag will still be there on the ground when you select who you want to help him out.

No, I meant that the scene was giving me nostalgia, not that it was made for that purpose xP

BTW you guys were right, that guy at the cave was Steven, not Brendan like I thought. It was Granite cave though instead of Origin Cave. I wonder if all the caves in Hoenn will have a little of the story of the Ancient Mascots.

You're certainly not alone on that observation, and I don't think it's a coincidence, haha. Love that they did that, makes me nostalgic about the old games! Keeping some things similar adds a lot to remakes, I think. If there's too many new features, the core of the games is lost, but looks like RSE lives on in ORAS. Think about how hilarious it'll be to see Professor Birch get chased around by a Zigzagoon in 3D. xD

I'm certain that the story will be the same as R/S only with additions. I noticed that they kept some things similar in SS that were in Silver too. They're like little Easter eggs that reference the original design :). HgSs had the biggest so far out of the two pairs that have come out with the GBC tunes. Wonder if ORAS will have something that can one up that.
 
So, if they don't simply reiterate everything that was released at E3, what do you guys want to see on Get TV in a few days? Personally, hoping to find out whether Mega Sharpedo and Camerupt will exist, among other things, but that's the main one. If we get that, I'll be more than content, haha :]

I think they'll show off Mega Sableye and the other Megas. Maybe some unseen footage. Perhaps we'll get some tidbits of the story.
 
I have a feeling that we will see a new mega in the 2nd Mega special, maybe Mega Sceptile 2, or something. I don't see Get, showing anything new. Maybe a few other areas like others have said.

Everything I have wanted to see has been revealed so far. Only thing I am still waiting for is the almighty Rayquaza. *looks in the past* Maybe they will reveal Delta Emerald lol. Doubtful and probably will not come out. I am hoping to see Mega Raichu though.

I hope they do have a Mega Raichu. I am hanging onto straws here, but I noticed that their evolution screenshots were of the whole Pichu line, from Pichu evolving into Pikachu, and Pikachu into Raichu. Rarely have they ever shown the full line off like that...hope they add a Mega into that line now :3

This is what caught my attention, and I do not think that is straws. When have we ever seen Raichu honestly lol. Not to mention they evolved Pichu and Pika back to back. We never see Pikachu evolve.

They won't do it, but Mega Pikachu would be an interesting addition that would benefit the anime. And strangely, even though I say they won't do it, it could become an anime-only thing. Maybe we'll get Mega Raichu but Ash's Pikachu will have some special ability to use the same stone because it's so strong.
 
Originally, I thought if they were going to release new Mega evolutions for ORAS, they'd stick to Hoenn-natives and basically avoid all others. With the Mega Diancie announcement, though, my presumption was proved incorrect. Now, I'm not sure which Pokemon would qualify to get Mega evolutions that aren't from Hoenn, but it's possible they could show a few during Get TV.

Imagine what it would open up if they gave some non-final evolutions megas...

You would have a reason not to evolve a Pokemon! MEGA SPHEAL
 
That would be random, but I'd kill to have me some Mega Drifloon. Hindenburg in the flesh.

Actually Raichu is a Hoenn native, it's in the Hoenn dex of RSE. So it getting a Mega wouldn't be too far fetched. I think we won't see many non Hoenn dex Pokemon get Megas, but I hope that we'll get a Mega Lugia and Ho-oh.

Should've specified - any Pokemon that wasn't new in RSE, but you're also right, because it was included in the Hoenn dex, it may not be outside the realm of possibility. However, Pokemon like, for example, Goodra, a relatively popular new Pokemon that I'm sure many people would want to see get a Mega, wouldn't have a chance at getting one. That's essentially what I meant in my original post.

Goodra Mega...should be Dragon/Water...I'm surprised it wasn't... Hope it comes in 'Z'. And who knows perhaps we have tempted fate here and it does come out for ORAS...
